Our mission is to provide dental services and education for our community’s children. With regular preventive care in our office and at home, every child can enjoy healthy dental visits and happy smiles. Our goal is to instill good habits early in an environment that is comfortable and fun!
Biography -
In addition to being a husband and father of two, Dr. Sam is also a U of M clinical lecturer, University of Michigan and Howard University grad, Michigan native, and retired Detroit Firefighter.
Dr. Sam, a second-generation dentist, grew up in Rochester Hills and graduated from the University of Detroit Jesuit High School. He graduated from Howard University in 1994. While taking post baccalaureate science classes at Wayne State University, Dr. Sam was a Detroit firefighter. Thereafter, he was admitted to, and in 2003, graduated from, the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
It was during his time at the Detroit Community Health Connection serving as a National Health Service Scholar, that he realized his inclination toward working with children. He realized that he could have a positive impact on how they viewed visiting the dentist. After two years, he returned to the University of Michigan and received his Masters of Science in Pediatric Dentistry in 2007. He began his pediatric dental career at Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry in Ann Arbor, MI. Currently, he works between Ann Arbor, and his office, Canton Pediatric Dentistry, located in family-friendly Canton Township, MI.
Additionally, Dr. Sam is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and adjunct clinical lecturer in the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Michigan. He is an active member of the Michigan Dental Association, Washtenaw District Dental Society, and the Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
