Beautiful waterfall. Bathrooms and picnic area up my parking lot and a walking trail down to the river and to the falls. Walking trail does have a lot of roots popping up through the trail, as well as rocks. So just be cautious if you or someone your with doesn't get around to well. Otherwise prefect. Glad I stopped and check it out. I recommend if your in the area, definitely take the couple minutes and go check out!
This is a frequent stop whenever I head up north! The hike to the falls is about a half mile, and well worth it. Over the last several years, they have added some extra boardwalks, etc, to make the hike even easier! If you are the adventure type, also don't be afraid to visit this park in the winter! While the parking area and vault toilets are closed, the trail is still accessible. Grab your snowshoes and follow the trail markers... you won't be disappointed! You just have to park by the road and walk through the closed parking area! There is a decent sized picnic area to sit down and enjoy lunch before and ofter your hike too! RV parking is available, but very limited. Restrooms: Vault toilet
Roadside park with bathrooms right at the front similar to Port-o-pottys. Well-kept trails that lead through streams and forest to a truly gorgeous river and series of small waterfalls. Better to visit in the spring right after the snow melts if you want to see them at max water depth pictures for reference are from mid May, 2023. Restrooms: A cross between Port-o-potty and outhouse style bathrooms. Usually well-kept and stocked.
This is a road side park. There is a path off the park. The path does help roots in some areas, boardwalks and others. They're also stone ledges you can walk out to they'll go over the river but once you get to the end there is a beautiful waterfall that leads into a gorge. This is a beautiful waterfall to go look at that could be mosquitoes so take your bug spray. I can also have a picnic in the park. The walk runs along the river so it is a very scenic walk
A great stop! We really appreciated the trailer parking and loved that this trail is dog friendly! Pit toilets were smelly. Garbage cans weren't overflowing. Easy hike due to board walks and smooth rocks. Beautiful waterfall.
A really neat roadside park with a beautiful set of rapids and waterfalls. The hike to the falls is relatively easy with many boardwalks and about a mile long. The North Country Trail also shares a part of the trail!
Great short hike and nice waterfalls. One of our favorite stops in the UP. Lots of nice boardwalks to keep you out of the mud. Restrooms: Pit toilets Dog-friendliness: Others had dogs on the trail Picnic area: Standard picnic tables
Great place to stop and stretch your legs and beautiful scenery. The falls are amazing Restrooms: Restrooms where very clean for a roadside park. Dog-friendliness: Alot of people had dogs out by the falls. Picnic area: Nice spots to eat and relax.
Beautiful, beautiful area. I am a UP native and come here every summer, it's one of those places that you just never get bored of. The trail is pretty easy back to the falls, I would say it probably takes about an hour to get all the way back there and enjoy it and then come back out, maybe a little more. Definitely worth the hike especially on a warm fall day, would recommend to anyone visiting the UP during the warm months!
Stopped by the roadside park not expecting much and we were all pleasantly surprised by the beauty we found! A nice trail, with wood planks some of the way. A good portion of the trail was decently accessible because of the walkways and there were many beautiful places to stop off and walk around along the way. The waterfall at the end was gorgeous too. Well kept up area with beautiful sights. Definitely worth the stop!
