The Canyon Motel & RV Park

Description

Put on your jeans and escape to the fresh cool air and mountains of Williams, Arizona, the Gateway to the Grand Canyon. Step back into American history along Route 66, and stay in one of our authentic railroad car rooms, caboose rooms or flagstone cottages built in the 1940's, all renovated with modern conveniences. The Canyon Motel & RV Park is a relaxing retreat nestled on sloping hills in the midst of the world's largest Ponderosa Pine forest. We're also just minutes away from restaurants, shops, galleries, and many other attractions in the quaint town of Williams and an hour's drive from the Grand Canyon.

Williams is the home of the Grand Canyon Railway, Bearizona wildlife park and one of the best preserved stretches of Route 66. Enjoy the town's festivals of rodeos, car shows,Wild West and mountain man events, or play golf at the 18-hole Elephants Rock Golf Course. Explore the area with a guided tour by horseback, jeep, van, helicopter, or airplane.

On the way to the Grand Canyon you can visit the Planes of Fame aviation museum at Valle, or the Imax Theater in Tusayan for a trip back in ancient time and rafting down the Colorado River with John Wesley Powell. Or you might want to book ahead for your own river raft adventure down the Colorado and the ultimate Grand Canyon experience through the depths of its innermost canyons.

Williams is also the perfect hub site to visit many Northern Arizona unique national parks, amenities and attractions including the Red Rocks of Sedona, Sycamore Canyon and its breathtaking waterfalls, the Kaibab and Coconino National Forests, mountain lakes, prehistoric cliff dwellings, and much, much more. You can hike, bike, camp, fish, hunt, and snow ski all from this central location.

At the end of the day come back home to the Canyon Motel & RV Park for a tranquil and peaceful sleep. Unwind from the day's activities around our campfire and trade your stories with our other guests. Go for a swim in our indoor pool, and let your children run and play at our playground. Get ready for the next day by washing laundry in our coin laundromat. Check your email and go online with the free wireless internet available throughout our property.

RVers will love our RV Park that is built into the side of the sloping hills with 47 full service spaces including many pull throughs. Tenters can set up in one of our seven unique tent sites. Room was very clean and fresh. We loved everything about our stay here. Bed was very comfortable. Soft, clean sheets. Shower was great. Room had a refrigerator and individual coffeemaker. Tastefully decorated. We usually stay at chains but this was a very pleasant surprise. If ever again in the area, we would definitely choose to stay here.
My son and his family moved to wellsboro 7 months ago. I stay at the Canyon motel when I visit. about 8 times now The rooms are not extravagant. They are tastefully decorated and always immaculately clean. What more could you want?
A very nice establishment indeed. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. A treasure in Wellsboro.Rooms: 5/5
I have been coming up here for the last 6 years to wellsboro pa and I love this little town. And I have been staying at canyon motel and it's a great place to stay the rooms are very clean and the staff is great. I will keep coming back.Rooms: 5/5
Ernie and Sasha were truly amazing!! Thank you so much for being hospitable and caring. This is a place from home, you won't regret it!!! Clean and spacious room and bathroom! Comfy bed and fresh linens. We will be back!!Rooms: 5/5
There was a lot of construction going on. Looks like a lot of the rooms got new windows and had been renovated. Our room had a fridge, microwave, 2 queen beds. 4 pillows on each bed, plenty of towels and wash clothes. The mattress I kid you not was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The kids loved the pool and there is a lift to get disabled people in and out of the pool. I've never seen that anywhere. It was really close to downtown, food, and stores. We will be staying here again when we come back to Wellsboro PA.
Pleasantly surprised but the quality of the room. Quiet area. Easy walk to main street. Definitely would stay again.Rooms: 5/5
Had a great stay at the canyon motel. Spacious room. Close to everything can walk to town within a 1/2 hour drive to pa Grand canyon or the starry nights at Cherry springsRooms: 5/5
I’m very disappointed in a local business that has previously happily accepted my credit card but is now no longer supporting the stay of “locals”. This isn’t the way to support community by declining our reservation requests because we apparently live too close. Some individuals and families desire to stay “close to home” during these times. If you call, make sure you find out if you live far enough away for them to accept you.
