Cape Ann Lanes has been providing Gloucester and Cape Ann with family fun since 1959. We offer a fun, updated environment to enjoy casual or league candlepin bowling, classic and modern arcade games, pizza and snacks, as well as beer and wine. We are also a fun venue for birthday parties and events for all ages!

We had our sons’ birthday party at Cape Ann Lanes this past weekend and we could not be happier with how it turned out!! Emily was our lovely server and was very attentive to our guests needs, as well as all the details for the party. I would have completely forgotten about the cake had she not reminded me because everyone was having so much fun! The kids absolutely loved being able to go back-and-forth between bowling and the arcade quarters for the kids to play were included in the price of the party! Everything just went so smoothly, and this stressed out Momma even got to relax and enjoy the party for a bit thanks to Emily and all of the amazing staff at Cape Ann Lanes!! The guests also LOVED the house-brewed beer, really an incredible experience all around
First time here and first time candle pin bowling. This place is a gem. The bowling is so familiar yet so foreign to regular bowling and it makes it so much fun. Great arcade games including Centipede, Galaga, Space Invaders, skee ball, and basketball. All of the beers were fantastic. We only had the truffle fries to eat, but as a French fry connoisseur, they were awesome! Can't wait to come back the next time I'm in the area and see if they have different, yummy beers to try.

Cape Ann Lanes is one of our most frequented places! We don't just go for the bowling though, we have a great time playing all the games and just being kids again... and yeah... our kids enjoy it too! Great staff!
So much fun!! Staff is super helpful, and friendly! We did the family deal. For $59. It includes 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental, a pizza, and a pitcher of soda. The pizza was REALLY good. Which honestly surprised me. I dont mean really good for a bowling alley. I mean REALLY good! Definitely a great night out for our family
My husband and I had our wedding at Cape Ann Lanes in June 2021. I cannot express enough how incredible Caitlin and Nic were throughout the process. Our friends and families still tell us how fun, unexpected, and gorgeous our wedding was. We originally had our wedding planned at a big hall, but with Covid, we found planning a wedding was becoming less and less enjoyable. One night, at 2am we decided that we wanted to ditch the traditional route and have some fun. We weren't even sure what the options were, but Caitlin & Nic were so encouraging and thoughtful that they made the planning effortless. They were very open to ideas and made us feel like anything was possible. We wanted to use their Laneside Pub menu and they made it happen! Our families enjoyed burgers, tots, and more, AND incredible beer brewed onsite. Caitlin was very organized, we didn't even need a wedding planner onsite for the reception. She had everything handled -- And she had just had a baby! She was onsite to make sure everything was perfect and so was her sweet baby boy. They collaborated with us on the decor and Nic even hung a disco ball and neon sign from the ceiling for us! Nic and Caitlin were always available for questions, site visits, and even offered us ideas and decor from their own stock. Their team that evening was incredible too. We still get comments about how good the food was and everyone's bowling scores from the evening. Cape Ann Lanes made planning a wedding fun again, and gave us a night we'll never forget.

The staff went above and beyond. Bowling was great but what compelled me to write a review was how amazing the employees are regarding food allergies. I was so impressed by their knowledge and their care around what my son and I were able to eat. They even made a fresh focaccia bread to substitute the roll for my burger and it was delicious. I rarely eat out due to allergies and this experience brought me so much joy and hope for my son’s future. I was told that the staff attends food allergy trainings and I wish more restaurants would require this! Also- their new outdoor seating is wonderful! Overall, we had a wonderful time and will be back!
We were so happy with our experience at Cape Ann Lanes and our four-year-old’s birthday party. The team really went the extra mile and made it special! Definitely would recommend for special events!
Great place for bowling and a mini-arcade. Great food and several beers on tap. Everything was clean and the staff was awesome.
