Capitol Lanes Bowling Alley

We had a big group and everyone of us had a great time. I like the high tech score boards. We were messing around with the ways to customize each screen. The staff was nice and helpful. The place was clean. I think it's the best thing in town for a big group of people to do so everyone can participate equally. The price was very good. I'll definitely go bowling at Capital Lanes again.

Went with some family members, including grandbabies, to Capital Lanes on December 29. Like everywhere else, Capital was kind of struggling coming out of the pandemic last year. But this visit was sparkling. The place was clean and well maintained. The staff, all of them, were professional, charming and motivated. The snack bar menu has been updated and the lanes operated well with only one hiccup which was quickly fixed. I prefer Capital Lanes because you get a "true" roll of the ball over the newer places that have pins operating off of wires. So, I'm very glad to see Capital in the game, so to speak, and hiring really first rate staff. We will be back!

Fun atmosphere, friendly staff, great snack bar and lounge. After 8pm the disco lights come on for even more fun. They have an arcade a d laser tag as well. They have ball assist and bumper guards for those that need it. Great game interface with many options on screen. Check out Groupon for great deals on this place.

I have been coming to this spot since I was a little kid at East Hill summer camp, literally since I was 10 years old. My girlfriend and I have bowled here a handful of times on Mondays and never had issues. We arrived for another time this evening, for another night of bowling, to be met with an extremely rude lady at the front desk with the shoes. She took one look at us, and over the shoulder of another customer she is helping rudely/curtly states “Theres no open bowling tonight”. Your website says nothing about this, your google hours don’t indicate this, theres no signs on the building or entryway nor signs as you walk in to the front desk. How do you expect someone to know? Clearly, you weren’t interested in my patronage. I would have likely asked if we could sit and have some food while watching other bowlers, or maybe play some arcade games so that at the very least our trip from Monticello wasn’t a waste. Now, I just won’t be back and I’ll take my money elsewhere. My apologies for showing up at your establishment hoping to bowl, I won’t make that mistake twice.

Very unfriendly staff. Sign at food counter says to go to front desk, go to front desk and ask for a menu and I am told you have to go back to food counter look at taped down food menu then come back to front desk to order. Literally makes no sense and not very customer centered. And not to mention bowling and food is very pricey!!

Prices a little high but it was a blast for the kids and wife and me lol. I love how the put gutter bumpers up for the kids and have a stand for there ball so they can play.

Last minute decision to go bowling for my brother's birthday!! I'm overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the red carpet treatment Coach Lane recieved tonight!! He was given a special shout out and even won a gift card for bowling a strike!! Thank you for making Lanes birthday so special!! Our whole family had such fun and are truly grateful!! Best customer service, clean, family atmosphere, fun interactive / digital displays, will return for more!!

Nice renovations bring the screens to 2020. Cosmic type of bowling is fun. Great price for an easy fun time with the kids. Once had an office party there and it was fantastic. The bar has a reasonable selection, and the finger food is good.

Capital Lanes is way off the main road and the outside of the building has no sign so we weren't sure that we were even at the right place. Prices are fair and the place is very clean but showing its age and needs updating.

Expensive, no experienced bar tenders so even ordering a pitcher a beer requires a 10 min wait. My experience was based on a busy Saturday night.
