Very friendly staff and service, but the quality of the balls and lanes are horrible. All of the balls are severely pitted and the lanes are warped. Take a look at the pictures. It's not expensive though. So there is a trade off.
went twice to this place with my colleagues for bowling. I didn't like this place because I don't see much crowd here. the place is also not very clean. But if you are looking for bowling near FSU, then you don't have choice other than this.
They're very sweet people that work there. The atmosphere is family friendly, but there are mostly college students who bowl there. If I can add any negative statement it would be that they need to clean up a bit better but otherwise, it's a great place to go have a relaxed bowling experience.
Very displeased at their false advertisement due to them being understaffed affected paying customers from having an enjoyable experience on their daughters birthday fue to then being understaffed and tried to charge the paying guest full price for a lane for less than a hour. Wouldn't come again. Business is business. I'm a business owner and no matter how understaffed I am, my customers are my top&first priority. I'm going to make sure their visit and experience is well accommodated to the best of my satisfaction&to make modifications as needed ti make sure they are greatly satisfied.
It’s getting older, but the staff are great and especially the guy who owns the place. He was very attentive and took great care of us. Also its pretty cheap to come bowl for an hour. When you walk through the door its almost like you get transported back to the 80’s.
We called ahead to make sure they could accommodate our large party of adults and children. To their credit they did get us all in on three lanes. The staff was polite and worked with us on our groupon purchase along with a lane for 3 hours 11$. Many of us rented shoes and all sizes were there. Now the bad part. There was no oil on the lanes. None. Probably should have mentioned that when we called. Many of the adults have our own equipment and bowl regularly so this made it literally unusable. Everything hooked back across the lane and into the gutter. Everything. The kids bumpers were broken and stuck up on one lane. Lane conditions were the worst i have ever bowled on. We left after the first game. The food was good but expensive. Nachos with extra cheese and a burger with chips no fries option. Have to order those separate totalled 12 bucks. The guy behind the counter at least was nice and brought our food out to us pretty quick. Overall it was old and run down. The bar area didn't have any air conditioning. It really needs some attention. I will not be back here unless they at least fix the lanes. I can deal with the rest but bowling is why we were there. Until that gets corrected i won't be spending 1$ at Seminole Bowl.
We continue to go back for to the Groupon availability but there are much better places to bowl in Tallahassee. We have the kids bowl free at Capital lanes but it was closed today for a private event. The lane we were on was bumpy, the bumpers are either up for everyone or not at all and fall regularly. The screen flickered constantly and the balls are very worn. The people that work there are friendly.
I literally just called to ask if they were hiring. Some women, Anastasia, I believe. Told me I could, 'always come in and pick up an application' to which I said 'okay cool, thank you.' I was going to ask her other questions but she hung up immediately. Very rude. Don't even bother spending your hard earned money here... Would give 0 stars if I could...
My last experience at Seminole Bowl doesn't even deserve 1-star but its the minimum allowed. After ignoring the fact that the balls were old and chipped and the tv screens displaying the points didn't work, I ordered a Pepperoni Pizza and it came out cold, with un-melted cheese, and tomato sauce everywhere. Once it came out my entire family started talking about how nasty and messy it looked. I asked for a refund and was told its impossible and was given a $5 drink to make up for the $15 spent on the pizza that was discarded. What a horrible experience! I will tell all my friends, co-workers, and clients for my own business about this experience and the lack of interest the employees had in satisfying myself and my family.
Bathrooms are filthy, and the equipment malfunction quite a bit, but the two staff members working the day we were there were very polite and courteous and helpful. The whole place seems dirty, and all the bowling balls are in bad shape, and the shoes given to us for my youngest son four yr old were broken in one place, but the clerk apologized and didn't make us pay to use them, I didn't even make a fuss, he just did what he thought was right. In short, crumby building, great staff.
