"At our Batesville, MS location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time."

The food could be way better if it was less greasy. McDonald's next door has been less greasy than this place sometimes & that blows my mind. However- their hushpuppies are always perfect!!! Love that item & recommend even just for a snackFood: 3/5
We got supreme which is 2 fish 2pieces of chicken 6 shrimp and 2 sides I got okra and macaroni and chz. It was awesome. Really loved the okra! The lady at the window was smiling and sweet. I'm sure I will eat food from here again Vegetarian options: Fried okra , jalapeno poppers
I waited in line 30 minutes,and there was only one car in front of me. I ordered the country catfish fillet meal. It was seasoned with too much lemon pepper and the fish had so much coating on it that it was unrecognizable. This was my second time in a week there, and it was awful.Food: 1/5
Bobby, Kentravious, and Sharonda gave excellent service..the establishment was clean and quiet..my grandson said this was the best night ever and he loves Captain D's food..we would highly recommend..Atmosphere: 5/5
I came back to give this place a second chance, and I'm very happy that I did. Sharonda, the manager was very nice and apologetic. My order was correct and the food was delicious!Food: 5/5
The fried oysters were too strong tasting, the catfish fillets were so hot they melted the container, filets were thin, generally disappointing experience. Service was ok.Food: 2/5

The worse I've had on awhile cashier ashley was awful threw headset down when I asked for manger I waited at the window for 25 minutes to get an online order then asked for a receipt was told she didn't have one told her again I needed the receipt she them slam something else down on counter then all she gave me was a picking slip no prices on it . Then I get home the hush puppies were so heavy with oil soaked in them you couldn't eat them you could tell they were left setting in oil potato so cold would not melt the cheese. So I would think twice before going there
Shout out to the young lady that was working the counter. I wish I had gotten her name bit she was on duty 6/12. She needed help with the rush that took place, but she took care of each of us with a smile and awesome attitude. Her work ethic should be commended. Food was awesome and place was clean. Thank you ma'am for a pleasant experience for two travelers on their way home. If you are looking for a place to grab a quick but delicious meal look no farther.
