HISTORY:
In 1978 we started as a limited primary care facility. Five years later the clinic was expanded to a full care facility with the addition of a laboratory, radiology department and surgical suite. We soon outgrew the small building and 1992 built our existing hospital - Care Veterinary Clinic. In 2000 the addition of two new doctors required that we expand again. We purchased the facility previously known as Diamond Veterinary Hospital and created Care at the Courtyard Veterinary Clinic. Each hospital now staffs five veterinarians and enjoys full laboratory, radiology, ultrasonography, dental and surgical suites.

We will strive to help our clients make educated decisions. This will allow them to choose the best care for their pet in hopes of helping them live a longer and healthier life."

Care at the Courtyard has cared for my Dogs and Cats since moving to Visalia in 2005.  I would not go anywhere else.  From the simplest procedures to surgery they  will give your animals compassionate and professional care.  If they can't handle it, they will refer you to a practice that can.  They have excellent follow-up and will often call you to see how your pet is doing after a procedure.  If you call  them, the doctor will call you back the same day.

Sadly our visit was to diagnose and help our pet leave us with comfort, love & dignity. This staff is above 5 stars. They accepted us, quickly and we weren't clients. Dr. Johnson was patient, caring and truthful. It was so difficult to do what was needed. We adopted this cat when the owner abandoned her, but we loved her as much as she loved us and gave her a home. We were honored to give her love on her final days. Would definitely return & recommend this facility.  Top rated!

We absolutely adore working with Drs. Johnson and Peterson - they are extremely attentive, caring, and capable vets. Our dog was recently attacked by another dog, and the staff was able to get him in right away, with daily calls after his surgery to check in and see how he was doing. Thanks to everyone at Care at the Courtyard, our dog is doing well and back to his normal happy self! We highly recommend this clinic to anyone with pets!

I took my skiddish puppy to Care at the Courtyard and it was the best experience I have ever had with a Vet. Dr. Chris Peterson is amazing and definitely knows what he is doing. He sat on the ground with my pup and made him so comfortable and loved. I would recommend this Vet to anyone.

We took our 85 pound 9 year old injured dog in for an exam. He was uncooperative and angry ended up needed to be muzzled. He also needed blood work and a physical. The staff was amazing, compassionate, understanding, listened to my concerns and educated me on what the issue could be before the formal diagnosis, and not once did they try to upsell. Today the next day Dr.Johnson called to check on him and left a message to she will check back next week. She also sent an email after the missed phonecall. 10/10 would recommend, and they will continue to get out business.

I've always gotten wonderful care and service here throughout all of the year's that I've been coming here! 25 plus years! They truly care about you, and more importantly, your pet!
