I took my Labrador retriever here when he ingested raisins which can be toxic and fatal to dogs. They treated him promptly, kept me informed, gave advice about further treatment. Its very nice to know that we have reliable 24 hour vet emergency care not too far away.
VERY CARING STAFF! They took our little dog in quickly when she needed an ultrasound to help diagnose a possibly deadly condition. The doctor diagnosed what was wrong and provided the appropriate treatment with care and compassion. They even texted the next day to see how our "little girl" was doing, very caring. I would highly recommend VCA Care Center to any pet owner.
Missed a major part of the diagnosis for my cat! They did not check his mouth thoroughly open it up to see what's going on He had Tonsillitis. Diagnosed by a Pet Hospital/Vet. the next day! This is why he was not drinking water and only able to eat very soft treat types of mushy food His throat was sore and tonsils were enflamed. The Vet another location showed me!!! They did do a great job of cleaning his ears and speak to me about that treatment plan. I did spend 7 hours there and a staff member seemed to glare at me, when I mentioned it was near midnight, and I needed to leave soon and get some sleep. A little understanding goes a long way... Also it was highly recommended that I get an x-ray of his abdomen. The Primary Vet Hospital said that was not necessary. Not overall satisfied with this visit and will not return there.
If you love your fur baby, avoid this place at all costs! They take advantage of you when you're vulnerable and do it with a bad attitude at that. The receptionist FRANCISCA, who ironically is listed as a "Client Service Supervisor" lol had a very annoyed face when we brought in our cat and had nothing but sarcastic comments to say. It was very unprofessional and extremely rude, specially considering the circumstances which is usually an emergency if you end up here. Seeing the previous reviews, this seems to be an ongoing theme with this place. It's a shame because the veterinarians and their assistants were actually kind and very understanding of the situation. Front desk ruined the whole already stressful situation. Never again.
My only concern was that I told the doctor that I wanted to see my dog after he was put down. So we waited in the waiting room for them to let us know when we can go back into the room once they're done with putting him down. We were then informed that he was put down, so we head to the room thinking we can see him now and the man tells us that he was already taken to the backroom. Which I didn't understand because we clearly told the doctor twice that we wanted to see him after he was put down. Before this, she wasn't fully convinced on putting him down but we had already made our decision before arriving because we didn't want him to suffer any longer. I was just overall confused on the whole situation because we let the doctor know that we wanted to see him after putting him down and they inform us that he was already taken to the back? So we didn't even see him after he was put down and it just rose some questions and confusions and I can't shake off that odd feeling.
Love the staff but we brought or 16 year old Jlo to be put to sleep! My feeling for the cost we waited too long and then when it was time they had to take Jlo away again from us to adjust something in her intravenous tubes and we could hear hear duress from our room. Overall for $300.00 I can’t recommend this place for moving forward or ever !
I just want to thank Coral for being compassionate with our worries. Logan and Dr. Brown were super sweet too. I want to thank the technicians as well. Dr. Kim needs some training on how to talk to cat pet owners or just pet owners in general. I know it was busy, but seriously, if you're over your job, JUST QUIT.
Came here because no vets near my house would accept my pet without an appointment. I got here at 7:30am but my cat was admitted at 8am. As you arrive you must call the number they ask to be called to do the whole check in process. Pet owners can not go inside due to COVID -19 prevention The initial price of examination is $105 and then they will add the price of the test or process you and the vet decide to do base upon the examination. I was able to check out with my cat at 1:30pm and that is because I had to call to see if they were done with the treatment they said they would do. If not I think I could have stay more longer. The nurse with green hair was so nice and welcoming. The vet would call me after examination which would be about 9am and then we chose to do certain test. Then got called at 11 am to talk about the results and how we can go from there. The process was done in a very proper manner, just the fact that they took long to check me out but they were very professional. Also they nurses helping during the time I waited outside were always doing their best to keep with the COVID 19 prevention methods. Also every other hours a person would clean the doors and the outside. Now it’s been a few days after and my pet is well, I must say my best regards to the whole team who help my pet be good. Thank you all for your hard work.
Dr. Kobayashi is an internist here. She is a very smart, experienced vet. Who is caring and kind. She includes the pet’s parents in decision making. She listens, and considers all aspects of the pet’s history. She has her own pets too. We trust her. The staff is also a group of friendly, competent individuals. Five stars!
I had a great experience here for my pet who was very sluggish, eating very little and not drinking any water. Dr. Kanuka was very knowledgeable and helped hone in on what the issue might be, ultimately my dog needed dental surgery which we were able to get him. Coral on the front desk was also very friendly and helpful.
