Beautiful, historic venue. Came to see a friend's choir perform and really enjoyed it. The concert hall is beautiful and sounds great for choral and orchestral music - would probably be too live for more modern styles or smaller ensembles. Seats were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. It can even get a little cold if the place isn't full of people.
Such a luxurious concert hall, floors are soft carpet and everything around you feels regal and elegant. The sound projection is AMAZING, you could hear someone speaking from across the hall. Many cool historical artifacts to look at, as well as a small gift shop.

The world famous, legendary Carnegie Hall, is woven into cultural history as a theatre of great musical performances across different genres, including jazz, classical music and even the Beatles. Enjoy some great concerts, in a landmark venue, amongst appreciative, engaging and knowledgeable audiences. 2023 is the 10th anniversary of the National Youth Ensembles, and the 6th year of the National Youth Orchestra Jazz, a modern day big band. I enjoyed a sensational set of performances crammed full of young artistic talent, combined with some stylish interventions from some older masters appearing as special guests. Well done to Sean Jones, artistic director, for pulling together such an array of talent to explore some musical masterpieces. With the theme of the 29ers, or artists born on the 29th of any month, he wrote himself into a script of icons, including Duke Ellington and Wycliffe Gordon. The connection between the highly appreciative and engaged audience and the young musicians made the occasion extraordinary. A night of great memories with great people.
The magic begins with the entrance to this beautiful place! Everything is absolutely stunning and this building is kept so well, you would think that it has been built just a few months before. Everything is clean. The employees are so nice and kind. On top of that, our concert featuring Ledisi was a great experience! The whole evening was pure magic and pleasure.
Gorgeous venue!!! Beautiful, but also designed to enhance the music on the huge stage! I was there with our Plymouth, WI choir students last week for an amazing concert. 800 students were part of the fantastic show. I cried at the end when all 800 kids were singing at the same time all around the room and balconies. Phenomenal!!!
Checked off a bucket list item by watching a performance at this iconic location. It was even sweeter since my son performed with his choir during a performance by the New England Symphonic Ensemble. Upon entering the lobby, you can feel the mystique of the hall and be in awe when thinking of the greats that have performed here. Inside the Stern Auditorium, we sat in the boxed seats in the Blavatnik Family First Tier. If you have a chance to sit in this section, it’s worth the extra cost as you get an amazing view of the stage and the performance.
Historic, private boxes, fantastic acoustics. Just don't try and take a photo or video surfing a performance or you'll be directed by the vigilant ushers to stop immediately.
Must do if you come to visit NYC. We went on a tour and we were able to go inside the concert hall . We were able to sit on the balcony box and floor seat. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and he gave us a lot of history of the hall. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and will definitely try to get tix to a concert to fully appreciate the acoustic.
