Everything is acceptable but I think it is too early to just give a 5 star rating without a full evaluation. May change stars and comments later. It has been a few days since my wife came home from MUSC Health Marion. I have to report that I am satisfied with the service and medical assistance given to her. Therefore, i am changing my rating from 3 stars, but because of MUSC's repeated broken record remarks to different situations on here, I cannot in good conscience give 5 stars. Thank you to the few good nursing staff members and the few good doctors of MUSC Health Marion for your very extremely expensive service.
Was told to be here by 9:15 am for my wife's surgery but here we sit 5 hours later waiting for the surgery. Have 3 dogs at home that need to go out & one of them needs meds but this place is an hour & a half from our house. They need to schedule their stuff better
I wouldn’t spit on this place if it was on fire, I’ve come to this hospital on multiple occasions and have been treated rudely by multiple doctors and have also been refused to be treated for no logical reason now, my understanding is that hospitals are there to help people I guess that’s not something that’s in your itinerary.
This hospital has completely turned around. They were absolutely amazing the P.A. Dustin Hayes was outstanding! I went in there feeling like i was on my death bed; coming out feeling like I have a good 50 -60 years left to live. The staff was nothing short of amazing. Jennifer Watson made us feel right at home, nice warm blankets the whole entire staff needs a raise!
I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Every employee that I encountered was very pleasant and helpful. Nurse Brittany Jones has found her calling in life. I’ve never met a nicer more compassionate nurse ever. Dr. Corbin was great and the P.A. Dustin Hayes did an outstanding job with the stitches. No one ever wants to go to the E.R., but if you do, make the trip to Marion SC. You’ll be glad you did!
Terrible ! Terrible ! Terrible ! My mother had a complete knee replacement at inpatient earlier this week and the staff and her doctor in that department did fantastic! It ends there .. From the time that she was moved upstairs to a room she was neglected! The nurse on duty during the day was uncaring, unsympathetic and callous ! My mom would hit the call button and maybe someone would show up to help .. maybe ! I stayed with her during the day and many times had to walk down to the nurses station that was fully staffed to get something . We were not bothersome as I attended to what I could for my mom , other things we needed the nurses help. She was nauseated from the medication and threw up in the bucket , nurse told her she didn’t want it ! No one came during the night to help her to the bathroom when she called and she had to take herself !! There were periods of hours where no staff checked in on her ! I’ve never seen a hospital so negligent to their patients! The staff seemed to be partying at night ! It was noisy with laughing and hollering from the staff ! while an older lady screamed help me ! Help me ! All through the night to the merriment of the staff !!!We thought that since it changed to the “prestigious “ MUSC that it would be better . WRONG! They need to let someone else take it back over and get this mess together! Your best to go to McLeod in Florence or go to Horry County if possible! I would not let any of my loved ones in this ratchet hole!
its easy to post a scathing 1 star review of a place after having a bad experience but people rarely post the good experiences. I have never been treated by a friendlier staff. The ED Doctor was very pleasant and the nurses were all nice which helped calm my anxieties. all and all will recommend for anyone needing emergency care for the area. and a big thank you to all the staff for helping take care of the community during this trying time.
This is perhaps the WORST HOSPITAL IN THE COUNTRY! I’m shocked that it’s still open! I don’t know where the ER staff got their education from. They are careless, heartless, and uneducated. The doctors are supposed to be the team leaders and they are the sorriest doctors there is. The ambulance took my dad there because he fainted and they wanted to put him in ICU for pneumonia. I accessed my Dad and he showed NO SIGN of pneumonia. I demanded that he be transported to McLeod and they said that McLeod didn’t have any beds. So I called his doctor on his personal cell phone and within 5 minutes he was being transported to McLeod. He stayed in McLeod TWO DAYS and was back home doing well. He did NOT have pneumonia, it was just that his blood pressure dropped in the bathtub. They also attempted to send one of my relatives home an hour after arrival with a broken pelvic bone due to a car accident. He was transported to McLeod where it was discovered that his pelvic bone was broken. They once diagnosed me with a bladder infection but I knew that didn’t make sense so I left and went to McLeod where I was rushed to emergency surgery because my gallbladder was about to rupture! There is so much more that I can say but there’s not enough typing space. Bottom line, I will never go back to this place for treatment! They give MUSC such a bad name!
The only reason I give them one star is because I had to! On 01-29-2021 the doctor in the Er approximately 4 foot tall slick very shiny head with glasses is the rudest most unprofessional “doctor” I have ever met! Didn’t even introduce himself to me and treated my husband like garbage! Everytime I tried to get info on my husband I was told “we are busy with patients” well my husband was also a patient even if he was treated like an animal! Another family member was give all information about my husband which was clearly a HIPPA violation because I’m the only person who has permission to get information although they wouldn’t give me any! The doctor ask me “why was it my business” well it’s my husband that’s why! I have already been in contact with the right people to have this matter resolved but my advice is don’t EVER take your family to that place because they don’t care about them and have so respect at all!
This hospital needs more staff. My father was seen there and waited 2 hours for a nurse to come in after he buzzed them. He was told he needed to stay overnight. However, the next morning, he was not given any breakfast. He was told that he wasn’t to get any food due to a scheduled stress test...that was later cancelled without any explanation. He sat there from 7pm - 2pm without any food. This is unacceptable for any patient.
