Caramont Regional is a clean facility inside and out. They have always been friendly and helpful. Most of the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and find out what is going on with your health! They are fantastic!! Definitely the better choice! : They never make you feel bad for asking questions and I cannot name one time anyone has ever given my husband, myself, or our children an attitude! That alone deserves 3 stars! :
I called today because a family member was in a car accident. We went to Urgent Care and were told we needed to go to an ER for a CT Scan because of a possible concussion and ligament injuries. I called to see how busy they were and the woman that answered the phone was the rudest person I have ever spoken to. She would not let me finish a sentence without interrupting me. She told me to go to our Primary Care Dr. When I told her we didn't have one she said, " then you gonna get hit with a big bill". Never did I ask about the bill as we are fully insured. I asked if they were busy and she replied "Yup, we're slammed". I am glad that I called, I will not waste my time or money there. Unless you want to be spoken to like you are garbage, I suggest you go somewhere else!
I want to say Thank you Nurse Amber, the X-ray and CT Scan nurses as well as the Doctor that treated my husband today. They continued to keep us updated on what they were doing and the results of the test they were performing. Blessings and Thank you again awesome staff and very professional.
Gillian the "Nurse Manager" has the most undesirable, unbecoming attitude. She drags that location down to the ground with her lack of social skills. She was very rude to children who were simply sitting in a room with me... it's easy to pick the women out who aren't able to conceive... let's just say I know she's one. She goes around as if she has her period every day. There was not a single time I visited this hospital that she didn't have an attitude or a problem with me ... oh jealously
We got here around 8 amd was done my 930 they took my daughter straight back with her chest pain, jumped straight to an EKG and chest xray. The doctor and nurses and staff were outstanding!
Brought my husband in for severe sciatica. Meghan, working the front desk, was very rude and hateful to him. She was very abrupt and condescending. He could barely walk, and she refused to slow down or wait for him while guiding him back. She had absolutely no bedside manner, or social manners, to speak of. She came into his room later on, barking orders at him, giving him medicines, but would not tell him what she was giving him. He was forced to ask each time, she was hateful and abrupt, and treated him like he was less than human. She was overly rough with injections, stabbing him with the needle, proper technique was not used. She has no business caring for the infirmed as she has no empathy or compassion.
They were fast but they should let you have the option to see a real doctor. The nurse was great but the assistant PA was horrible. She was just all over the place in your face. You need a listener for that position with manners. I was there years ago and it was great. Things have really changed.
In past years I had bad experiences here but my last visit where I was seriously ill was great. When I arrived the lobby was packed and so I expected the wait to be long. However, my whole trip was just 3 hours! 3 hours total in an ER--a miracle! I have high blood pressure and was so scared they would focus on that and not my main issue because that had happened on the past, but they didn't and I was so grateful. They got me on fluids, got me pain meds which were nice, and immediately got samples and ran tests and sent out to lab. Lab called with diagnosis and am on medication now. I am so relieved to have a diagnosis even though I am still suffering and there is a chance antibiotics won't work, but that has nothing to do with the hospital. Nurses, doctor, and safety officer were all nice too.
I couldn't be more grateful for the care I received here. Intake was smooth, prompt, patient, and kind. Even the security officer made it a point to be gracious and kind. Brittany and Logan were so sweet and helpful. They made everything as comfortable as possible while I was having a pretty rough day. Mark made genuine connections and talking to him kept my brain focused on anything except the pain. Even the super nice lady who came in for insurance info I'm sorry I missed your name, dear was patient, calm even though my crushed hand was a lot to take in, and kind. This broken coffee roaster is happy, and on my way to mended thanks to this facility.
I was there for over 4 hours for pain in my L upper pectoral area of no know reason. They had 1 doctor. They treated me like a heart patient which I was not. Stuck me 3 times for no reason. Tried to take another chest X-ray which I declinedI already saw my pcp and they didn’t have the results toosame place did the X-ray. I ended up leaving they didn’t even know or cared when I took the ekg leads offneeded to use the bathroom. After 15 minutes I was done. They did not call me after I left which they are supposed to. I guess Gaston county or the doctors in Gaston Co. just don’t care.
