For a $2 purchase, Penelope spent about 20 minutes finding the right size screws and washers then completed the repair herself without being asked. During that time she was polite, friendly and patient. An amazing experience that earned a new loyal customer. Thank you.
This store has a big selection of things - everything from carpentry to lawn care to plumbing and painting. The staff here is very friendly and helpful, without being pushy. Some items are a bit expensive, but small stores can't compete with mass marketers. For most of your at home needs, this is a great store. I'm updating this review, 4 years later: I have to say that every time I've gone into this store, I've been treated kindly and with respect. The people there are curious about my level of knowledge about what I need for a job, but never assume I know nothing. I consistently feel welcome here, the folks who work here don't talk down to you. I keep coming back again and again because it's just SO different than my experience going to big hardware chains. No one assumes I'm incapable - they just help you however you need. THANK YOU!

One of the best hardware stores in the valley. I purchased a snowblower from them a while back and they were friendly and helpful. Topped off the machine with TruFuel and oil and helped me load it up. Great experience as always.
Going to Carr’s is the real hardware store experience - you can walk in and there’s someone asking how they can help. I would have spent probably double the time and effort to have potentially walked away without a solution had I went to a big box store. 10/10, will return. Highly recommend working with Mark if you can!
Poor customer service. I had purchased a Weber Grill back in January. I went in to inquire about a grill light that was supposed to have come with the grill. The manager conveniently could not locate the transaction with the information provided. Somehow the transaction not recorded when I opened rewards card on the same day. The manager then rudely ask, "are you sure you bought the grill here?" It took a second trip and photo evidence with the same manager to prove they sold me at full retail grill that did not match the description. The grill should have come with stainless steel grill grates and a light. I was finally offered and accepted a light but certainly the experience did not have to be this way. Buyer beware when shopping at Carr Hardware, know what you are buying and that all the parts and pieces are there when purchasing something fully assembled.
