I've taken my kids to Carr Pediatric dentistry for over 10 years. I have 3 kids "graduated" to adult dentists, and 3 more still being seen. I was a bit worried my first time as I wasn't used to not going back with my kids, but it ended up being even better than if I had. My middle son is autistic and everyone interacted well with him. The hygenists and assistants are super great with the kids. The staff have always been super friendly and well organized. Dr. Carr and Dr. Carter are fantastic. I absolutely recommend this dental office to everyone that asks me.
They’re aware of precious time and how people are busy. It’s hard for me take off work bc of our company and my family’s budget. Very please with Dr. Carter, she told us everything that was recommended and said she can try to get everything done the same day. Kids naturally doesn’t like going to the dentist and having our daughter come back for a follow up treatment will be difficult. Dr. Carter got the job done in one day! The staff made us felt welcome and they were very professional with communicating with our daughter.
Both of my daughters needed extensive dental work and we were referred out from their dentist because they had a bad experience and my 10 yr old daughter has quite a bit of anxiety. So when we went to Carr dentistry I was so relieved with their Patience and care that they showed towards my daughters throughout the entire process. They sat me down and broke everything down to me for their treatment plan as well as the pricing so I knew exactly what I was going to be paying before I left and the girls are really enjoyed meeting buddy. I found out that buddy is a dog that they have in the dentistry office to help calm kids down that may have anxiety about going to the Dentist Which was great for my daughter because she’s such a big animal lover and that calmed her down instantly. They were both super excited when they came out with their new sparkly teeth and Mayliah told me before leaving out that this was the best Dentist she has ever been to and she only wants to come here! Thank you again for taking such good care of my girls
I had a change of insurance and my daughter’s dentist was no longer in network. Carr Pediatric Dentistry was so I decided to give them a try. I had a bad feeling when I learned they don’t allow parents in the back but I decided to follow through with the appointment. They took my daughter back and I waited in the waiting area for her. After the visit, while my daughter was still somewhere in the back, I was taken to the office to speak with Dr. Carr. There she proceeded to tell me my daughter had 8 cavities all but 1 being very small and they all needed to be filled. We briefly spoke about the option of using silver diamine as an alternative but after they checked my insurance, I was told it wasn’t an option because it wasn’t covered. I was visibly upset and confused. There was no compassion from this dentist or office at all. My daughter was only 5 at the time and I felt putting her through 8 fillings was too much. I decided against their plan and took my daughter back to her previous dentist for a second opinion where I had to pay out of pocket but it was worth it. Parents are 100% allowed back with their child and he gave us the option of the silver diamine and only had to fill one cavity. We felt so much better with this treatment plan. I will never return to Carr Pediatric Dentistry.
I would give this office ZERO stars if I could. The way this office, the dentists, the assistants handled our visits was careless and business only focused. After my youngest was examined for cavities that needed work, the dentist and staff insisted he needed silver crowns. That the only other available options were removal and fillings which weren’t feasible options for his age. My husband and I spoke with them for over an hour asking for alternatives. We left without agreeing to treatment. The office called us more than once saying he needed to get the work done before it got worse and when our son started having pain, we gave in with the understanding this was our only option. Even with great insurance we had to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket. An assistant said he’d be back with my son during the procedure. Then only a short time later I see him walking around. I asked how my son was doing multiple times and the woman at the desk told me he was good, and eventually took me over to see ‘my son’. The child she showed me was NOT my child. I asked where he was and said I wanted to see him. They said he was on his way out. This office doesn’t permit parents in the room with their children and says it’s because children are more calm without them. Total lies. It’s just so they can manage your child without you and convince them to stop crying before they come out to see you. My son is very vocal and a very good communicator. He came out visibly upset and in tears. We did some research after this appointment, realizing our confidence and trust was misplaced in this office, and found a dentist further away but who offered alternatives to silver crowns other than those given by this office, WELCOMES parents in the rooms and LISTENS to the children. And cost was hundreds less. I am furious with Carr Pediatric. You KNEW there were alternative options available, but didn’t share because it wouldn’t be with your office. Absolutely ridiculous.
Absolutely horrible. Took my child one time, then they stopped taking my insurance so never went back... however, they billed me 1 year and 3 months after services were provided and added many miscellaneous and "interest" fees, on the same day that the statement was sent. They cannot answer to what the fees are for and refuse to take them off. Really fishy stuff going on there. Stay away!
Carrie isn't lying I went through similar situation. I remember filling out a form online two weeks before my child's appointment listing every possible details because he's autistic/nonverbal. Upon arrival they told me I can't come in with him, I was very concerned. Anyhow, I trusted them to take him in due to their covid policies, but I said please call me if he gets upset, each time she comes out I asked is he ok and her answerwouldbe yes! Half hr later I said this seems strange he must be really doing good, and she constantly reassured me he's ok., and hr came, shortly I see them coming to get me. When I went to see him, My child was out of breath screaming with his shoes off, sweating profusely and traumatized. You know what shock me the most they said they didn't know he was autistic and nonverbal knowingly I had stated everything about my son. Even though this was taking place they'd the nerve asking me if I want them to tie him down. This might sounds horrible, but God is my wick ness. They're all about money. They kept calling me for weeks trying to convince me to come in to do work when they didn't even get the chance to do and x-ray or anything that was necessary. Not sure how they got all these five stars I'm unable to take my child's to the dentist because of this Dental office.
These guys are soo fantastic with all of my kids. From cleanings to cavities, they take care of it all. The tvs in all the rooms are great for keeping the kids occupied while they get their dental work done.
My wife visited with my 2 year old for his 1st dental visit. The dentist cut short our visit and didn't finished consultation to my wife..for the only reason that my son was crying. This being a pediatric dental office, I assume they would've encountered crying babies?? The attitude was not at all befitting a pediatric dentist. We'll be looking for a new dentist!!
I am late with thisback in November my daughter had a dental emergency, being new to the area I called a couple of dentists who wanted to charge me an extreme amount just to get her in! by the time I called Carr Dentistry I was close to tears and feeling desperate, they were extremely helpful.. got her in within an hour. Having financial troubles and being very apologetic about needing a payment plan, they were more concerned about my daughter. Let’s act now and talk later was the vibe they had. They were more concerned with my daughters treatment and were able to work something that didn’t break the bank for me. She recovered quickly and is back to her happy self. I would recommend this clinic to every parent or guardian. the staff was warm and welcoming and i felt that i could trust them!! thank you!!
