Carrillo's Mexican Deli

I have always ordered from here on GrubHub and loved it. I finally got to go in and order 03August2023 and interact with the actual business and I was not disappointed. I ordered breakfast for my family of 7 and the timing, ordering and service was by far amazing. I was not disappointed. And of course the food followed being delicious and portion size was way more than I could eat. They were friendly and inviting. As I left they made sure I had everything and was good to go. Cannot comment on the atmosphere as we always do take out. We get the burritos nearly weekly and they are large and packed heartily. Very tasty. Always consistently and perfectly done with quality ingredients. Everything is homemade by them—tortillas, salsas, chips, beans, banuelos, rice, tamales. The burritos are served with a small side of chips if you ask and their salsas. We order through the Clover app where the 10th burrito is free. Family owned and operated. They’re so kind. A true community business.

Great place to eat. My co workers eat ate their for lunch and everyone was satisfied. I'm from East Los Angeles and finding a good Mexican food restaurant is hard in this part of town. But when we found this place it taste like my grandmothers cooking. One the be sure to order a glass of milk if you request the Habanero hot sauce. Everyone starting sweating after we tried that.

You can't go wrong with ordering Mexican food from this place. The burrito's that are less than $8 can easily feed two hungry people. There is plenty of parking out front and plenty of seating inside. The food is right is made in a open kitchen, I think this place is family run but I can't be sure...the food definitely taste like what grandma used to make. There is no formal table service here; you order at the register have a seat with your chips and salsa and wait for the deliciousness to arrive. Bring your appetite.

I don't know what they do to their flour tortillas but it is magical. They are soft I could use them for my bedding, if I wouldn't eat them all on the first night.

Just about right! I had Crispy tacos they are chewy I can't eat the shell taco chewy and thick shell. But I like the Flan and Ceviche.

They completely messed up my order by adding the ingredient I specifically told them to leave out. I get so tired of people not writing down an order and by the time they get to the kitchen they forgot. Made my burrito inedible. I saw no point in sending it back as I have read too many stories about what happens when you do that. Hubby got carnitas and they were so greasy that he was feeling puny by the time we got home. Was going right through him. We really wanted to like this place. Nice staff and clean appearance of restaurant. $20 bucks down the drain.

Carrillo's has been one of my favorite restaurants for as long as I can remember. Whether it's a weekend bowl of menudo, a breakfast burrito, tacos, hand-made tortillas, or any of your other Mexican favorites, the food is always delicious. The folks who work there are always welcoming and courteous. It's a great spot for delicious food at a good price. Kid-friendliness: This place is very welcoming to families. The food is not made to be spicy or outlandish, so kids should find something familiar to enjoy.

To my surprise, after looking at the receipt, I found that my favorite Mexican restaurant has greatly increased its prices. For rice, 2 tamales, steak quesidilla, and an order of beef taquitos, the total was $50. Ouch.Food: 4/5

So family friendly service. .. A good way to start your day! Good breakfast choice!!
