I'm so sad to see this place go. I went to say goodbye for now to my cosmetics sales lady, and make sure she has my contact information so I can buy from her again. It was a good thing I did, because the company had taken all her contact info for her entire customer list. What a petty, cruel move! I'm still giving five stars to a store I've counted on for years for quality merchandise and superior customer service in a clean, well organized environment.
This place sells the most awesome clothes ever and their jewelry section has always been amazing. I’m heartbroken that this place is going out of business. It has always been one of my favorite places to shop. My best hope is that the employees who work here will be able to find another job when it closes.
Raised prices to show a discount. Bought a coffee maker showing a price or $120, gave me 50% and a 20% discount which came to. $48. Though it was a good price until I went to mfg web site only to find that I could have bought direct for the same price. Went to Carsons website and they are not accepting any e mail and phone is shut off.
Carson's was one of my favorite places to shop. It is so unfortunate that they're going out of business. I've been shopping at Carson since what's 15. I work for Carson Pirie Scott's for five years as a younger woman. It was there where I got my experience as a retail manager.
So very sad to see this historic store so empty and barren of customers. The prices are so expensive no wonder the chain is hurting financially. The selection in the men's department was rather bleak. The shoe size options were scarce.
Carson's is going out of business, and they are currently having sales as a response. The sales are 50%-70% off, and they are currently giving an additional 15% the purchase as well. The prices are high, but with the sale it's worth it to pick up a few things. I purchased some candles and lighting while there.
I hadn't really shopped at Carson Perrie Scott much if ever. It was always a store that I thought of as carrying clothes that appealed far more to my grandmothers than they did to me. Seeing their "going out of business" sales though, I stopped in. While I did find two cute light cardigans for late summer, most of what I saw confirmed my earlier assessment. Most of what they had were clothes either for older women who had accepted they were getting old, or for older women who were still in denial about it and dressed accordingly. That was much of their problem, I suspect; their offerings simply didn't appeal to the younger generations. As many churches are learning, relying mainly on little old ladies to buy what you're selling isn't a great business model. Whether you're offering skirts or salvation, you need a steady supply of people willing to give you their money.
It's ashame that they are closing however , they have some interesting discounts so now would be a good time to take advantage of it.
I'm sad that Carson's is going out of business I always love Carson's you can always go on Carson's and find something in the store when they had their coupons I did go on there and make some purchases and it seems like they were more friendly since the store closing when they wasn't I always enjoy shopping here I'm going to miss the store
For going out of business sale lots of Prices are still to high. Shopping for Shoes is ridiculous since everything Is thrown all over the tables and the Floor.
