I am doing my family history and learned that I am a descendent. I was born a Woodson until my mom and dad Married. I am so excited and proud.
It's a small but important piece of DC and US history, with a well-designed statue. The Woodson Home, now a historic site managed by NPS, is across the street. Playground: It's a small historic park, not much of a playground. Restrooms: No restrooms. Dog-friendliness: Not for dogs. Picnic area: No room for picnics.
Peaceful place to sit waiting on the G8 after church.
Wonderful turnout of the National neighborhood. We the beneficiaries of many who toiled for our peoples
Love a Black History jaunt and paying homage to Black thought leaders and other contributors to our collective wellbeing.
Another fine Memorial to Carter Woodson. There are some very poignant words of wisdom written on his memorial.
It's quite distressing among the burgeoning gentrification of the area.
Carter G Woodson is a legend in DC. Nough said.
Very well throughtout with the location and design. Enjoyed it.
Needs more seating but it's nice
