I loved Dr Barnett so much I came back to him after moving away for 6 years. Now I see PA Betty and she is great. Very caring and very thorough. Only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because it is sssoooo difficult to get in touch with them. Seems like Pam is the only one there to answer the phones and there is always 4+ people on the phone ahead of you. If they could fix their phone system I would say 5 stars.
Dr. Barnet is one of the best and caring doctors. He takes his time with each patient, therefore he's always running super late and it's hard to get to see him, but they usually can get you in to see his PA or NP same day. His office staff could use a lot more organization. I agree that anything with paperwork, prescriptions, and call backs is not the best at all. We had good luck most of the time, but we also had bad luck. So it is frustrating. We've been going to Dr. Barnet for over 15 years, to us, he's worth the long wait.
Dr Barnett is very personable and takes his time with each patient. He has been my doctor for 30 years and I haven't lived on that side of town for years, but he is worth the drive! He is the BEST doctor! Anytime I need to get in right away, my appointment is with Debbie. She is quick, thorough and very nice!
They used to be exceptional, but they grew too big too fast and and aren't even acceptable at all anymore. No customer service, you will be made to wait after the 90 second automated answer you just navigated through to get to the receptionist only to be asked if it's ok if you are placed on a "Brief hold" which is usually longer than the automated phone message. I used to see Dr. Barnett, now I can only get in to see a PA even with a bit of notice. I am now switching doctors after 15 years because the PA gave me a different set of instructions in my appointment on re-filling my prescription than what the receptionist just told me on the phone. I will now be without my medication for several days as a result. Unacceptable.
I will NOT be going back there again and I have been going there for as long as I can remember since I was a kid, and I am 26 years old now. The management of the office is HORRIBLE and they seem to be going down hill in my opinion. My primary physician is Dr. Barnett but I have not seen him in about 10 years, no exaggeration there because he is always "booked". They are always running behind and you have to wait for over an hour past your appointment time to even be seen. The last time I was in there, the rude "check in lady" tried to tell me that I had never been there before, she couldn't find me in the system, that I was a new patient not an existing, which was hilarious to me because she had just printed out the form for me to sign to make sure all my EXISTING information was correct. Which it wasn't, even after filling it out with current information the previous time I was in there before this appointment. Needless to say after all of that I didn't even stay for my appointment because I was being told I had to pay a missed appointment fee for an appointment I NEVER missed if I wanted to be seen for my appointment. I refused to pay it, so I was not going to be seen, and she then tells me I was still going to be charged my co-pay for this appointment even though I was not going to be seen, which is quite ridiculous in my opinion. The "check in lady" I wish I wrote down her name was rude and needs to be put through customer service training if she is going to be working with the public. This place is a joke and only continues to decline. I have now found myself a new primary physician right up the road who is absolutely amazing!! I should have left this doctors office a long time ago!!!
This is not the place to go if you want great care! No one calls you about results, you have to call if you want ANYTHING. And IF they do call you and leave a message, what good does it do when you call back and have to leave them a message, because NO ONE EVER calls back. Even the office manager Liz, is the worst at getting back to you, I've left her several voicemails after SHE herself has called me and she never returns my calls. This is the worst in customer care I have ever experienced! They obviously have too many patients to take the time necessary to oblige and service their patients. I've only been here a few times, and needless to say I AM NOT GOING TO RETURN, going back to my great PCP on the other side of town. Obviously closer to home is not always the answer.
I don't recommend this primary physician for anybody. I was first seeing Debra Smith that was giving me a prescription that I did not need, she cause low blood sugar drop, cause seizures and blackouts from the sugar drop! I stayed away from this doctor and then started seeing Dr. Barnett since it was his practice. Now I have been dropped from the practice from missing appointments when my truck needed to get it's brakes and rotors put on and appointments I couldn't make it to them so I called in and let them know also the patient portal. I was still dropped as a patient mostly because I have so many complaints, you go in you check in you show up 15 minutes early for your appointment still look to wait for an hour, wait to get called back once you get called back, wait another hour in the doctor's room to be seen!! Worst practice! I've ever dealt with ,43 years old, I am not a child, I'm an adult!
The incompetence at this office is mind boggling! They can’t send prescriptions to the correct pharmacy, they don’t inform you of test results, no one in their office wants to do their actual job, and I have been charged twice and three times for the same visit telling me they billed me wrong the first time. WTF are they actually that ignorant where they can’t do simple office tasks? The answer is yes they’re actually that ignorant. On top of that they double and triple book appointment times making each patient wait hours on end. There are better doctors and medical offices out there. My suggestion find any of them and steer clear of this hack shop!
Debbie Smith was very dismissive of my symptoms and told me are you sure its just not PMS! Turns out after seeing another doctor it's much more the PMS!!! Thanks a lot Debbie Smith!!! Would never recommend anyone to be seen at this office. Even after the visit had to fight for imaging results sent to new doctor!!!!
staff is very friendly and helpful... but good luck calling for any kind of assistance or to setup an appointment
