Extremely satisfied with the friendliness and professionalism of staff and Security as well as my hotel accommodations. Rooms were clean and mattress was extremely comfortable. The air conditioning was fantastic not only in my room, but the rest of the hotel and casino. Slot machines were a little tight but I'm not much of a gambler. I was more than satisfied with the food and beverage choices at the various cafes and restaurants. I will definitely be coming here again the next time I'm in Tucson.
I really enjoy spending time here. There are several bars and restaurants to choose from. Everyone is welcoming and professional. The pool is lovely, the staff by the pool are all friendly and attentive. I only dropped one star because I enjoy playing three card poker at the table with my other half. For some reason, it is raised from $5 to $10 randomly but never put back down. I even asked last night if it would come down again, and told it wouldn't. There was no one at the table. Both my other half and I would've sat and spent a couple hundred dollars each if it was $5. An opportunity lost by the casino, and fun lost for us. We'll be back though, no doubt.
Its always a good time when your winning, but besides that. I love the fact there is some much to do from concerts, spa day, dinner to game play. The host are wonderful and there is plenty of restraunts to choose from if you feeling a bit hungry not to mention 2 bars to just sit and relax.Rooms: 3/5
I just want to give props to SHEM at valet. He’s great! Shem always has a welcoming smile and attitude on any given day you might see him. I appreciate that he is able to remember my odd last name and is always hustling to get us guests in and out of our vehicles to get to our next destination. These days, it’s not too easy to find such hardworking, caring and upbeat professionals… but the valet department has surely found this rarity in Shem
So I have been here many times my parents stay here probably every other month when they go to the VA for their appointments. the casino is great. The staff is pleasant. The food is good. The pool area is usually nice. This time I felt it was a bit dirty but that is not where I have issues with.. my father is a disabled veteran who needed a wheelchair, and the only wheelchair that this place had was a broken one with no foot pedals and a broken break. I think that they need to invest in a couple good working wheelchairs. All hotels have them. I was very disappointed this go around if it was me I would not choose to stay here. If I had somebody disabled with me I really hope management sees this and spend a couple hundred dollars on a couple wheelchairs.!!! very disappointing
This place doesn't even let you double up before it starts pulling some one in a million odds type stuff to take all your money. Black 8 times in a row 3 weeks in a row. You'll win like make 25% of the time betting red or black it's actually amazing. Everyone knows slots are rigged but ta le games with near even odds shouldn't be 80/20 for months on end. I literally can't even spend longer than an hour here because my money gets take so fast even on the minimum bet. I can never spend enough time here to want to eat food or do anything else. All they get is a little bit each week and then chase me off. I guess this works when everyone has the IQ of a hamster and getting mad and thinking you got scammed makes you paranoid weird and socially unacceptable. All I want is fair play. Roulette is not a game where one in a million oddities happen 24/7. There is a literal statistical probability to landing on the same color a certain amount of times and watching you hit a statistical oddity the equivalent of literally win the lottery within an hour of me playing, every weekend, is crazy and it genuinely makes me wonder how stupid everyone actually is to not see something that has literal statistical evidence to support how rigged it is
The good things: the service room is quick and very accommodating. The view outside is marvelous. The pool design is exquisite, the security is excellent. The bad things: The room carpet is dirty and not shampoo. The design of the bathroom is little bit inconvenient because of the door and behind it is the shower and the door occupying large space of the small size bathroom. It will be easy if it's slide door, that way the door is not in a way. The toilet paper holder is need to audit if its functioning properly. The AC is very noisy at night, the noises from different room can be hear some time. The TV needs to replace because of the LCD condition is dark and not bright enough to view. There's no way in the remote setting can fix it. The coffee machine is hard to deal with, the coffee is not strong enough to prove if its coffee but I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the hotel for FREE coffee. The cabinets are malfunctioning I'm talking about the one for the small fridge, for the room 816 the fridge isn't 24 hours gicing cold, you have to press the cool button and There's a time limit which is not a big deal and it's energy saver. For the bathroom, I hope the hotel consider putting anti-slip mat, especially for elder and toddler. Overall, Casino Del Sol is a great hotel and have a beautiful location. I still recommend the place and will stay for the second time in the future. Rooms: Need improvements. Safety: I feel safe and there's Officer standing by. Walkability: Not far enough for restaurants and cafe.
I really like Casino Del Sol, and especially AVA Amphitheatre, but I would like to criticize two things that bothered me on my last visit, for The Arizona Daily Star Best Of Tucson ceremony. First thing is more genetic - the casino floor reeks of cigarette smoke. I've been to Vegas plenty of times and out never smells that bad. Maybe it's time for a better ventilation system? And the second thing was the bar situation at the event. There were 6-7 bars, which is really nice, but each had only one person attending it. Meaning, they take time serving the drink and take more time taking care of payment. Each bar at some point had a line that was 25-30 people deep. Fire such a big event, please get 2 people for each station, streamlining it better. Thank you! It's a gorgeous casino.
I have played bingo. Yesterday same lady won 9 times wow. Seems kinda one sided as a few others won multiple times. Just wish winners were more than regular people but that's the chance you take. Still nice place to play and good food.
Although the hotel and grounds were beautiful our stay here was a nightmare. The renowned spa was fully booked for the entire 3 days that we were there. We were told we should have made spa reservations when we booked the suite. Nothing was mentioned at the time of the reservation. The Italian restaurant was closed Wednesday and Thursday night. The bathtub drain had to be held up by hand to drain. Other guests at this resort had similar experiences as it was being discussed in the elevator about both the lack of spa appointments and the lack of bellmen to help with luggage. There was no concierge or manager to speak to us as they were "not in".Monday through Thursday no spa no hotel employees to speak to about the conditions. The front desk woman was rude and totally uncaring about our concerns. The was no courtesy or behavior on their part to accommodate my being disabled. It was actually shocking how little care was showed. We went here to celebrate our 50th anniversary and no one there even said Happy Anniversary. All in all very disappointing experience and we would never go back.
