Cassies's Midtown Cabins

We have stayed here numerous times We love it bc it is on Sudderth , main road in Ruidoso, so we can park our car at the cabin and walk where we want to go! The owners are trying to update the cabins which we appreciate - we luv the new bed , fridge , stove and towels ! Not so much of a fan of the white duvet - not a good color to keep clean , would rather have something more cabin, vintage but new looking ! Also, there are no side tables in the living room or bedroom to place a book , coffee cup , glasses . Need lamps in the bedroom we like to read in bed and an under the counter light in the kitchen even with large light on overhead it’s dark at the sink . Cheryl does a good job with accommodations and making sure guests have what we need ! We love this place and Ruidoso !

We stayed here years back and found out there is a new owner. I looked at some of the reviews and they were not to good but we wanted to make our own judgement so we booked a room for 4 and at that time the owner mentioned it was remodeled. Well, the only thing remodeled was a new tv but ok we are not there to watch tv. The bathroom was the worst part. Paint coming off the walls, shower handles old and hard to turn, and low water pressure. For us guys ok but If your wife wants to wash her hair good luck. Oh electric outlet covers broken watch the kids but after that we decided it's a cabin and only for 2 nights. We then noticed there were only 2 towels the next morning we went to the office and asked the owner if we could have two more since the reservation was for 4. Answer was flat out NO. His reason was people have been stealing his towels so for us to use the 2 and bring them back and he will exchange them for news ones. We heard he was rude and yes it's true. That same Saturday night at dinner we get a call from him that he wanted us to pay him now even though we were checking out the next day. We told him he has our credit card and he insisted he wanted it now so we don't leave without paying. Rude again. We could deal with the rooms but you add him to the mix, never staying there again. The only positives location and heater worked.

we love this place...been staying here for a couple years now. We really love it here...and Cheryl is an amazing host!!

Well as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. My mistake. It was clean, but so old it was kinda hard to tell. The mattress and box springs needs to be put on solid box foundation. That slinky of a frame made every toss and turn feel like you were on a trampoline. Terrible nights sleep with the husband. I nearly had vertigo walking on those crazy uneven, buckling floors all though they put laminate on top to make it all appear better. I will save more money next time for a better cabin. Thank you

Hi! We stayed here Thanksgiving 2015 for 3 days. These cabins make you feel like you are in the old times, living truly on the mountains. These cabins are cute, small and cozy. Although small, they are spacious on the inside. What can we say, they have a good attitude, and they are completely stocked with anything you might need. We cooked in there and they have all the cookware and dishware, etc. Don't think they are modern or updated, they are rustic and comfortable. We had planned only two nights but it felt so nice staying there, that we decided to add one more night. Oh one more thing, they are right in the middle of "midtown." They are in walking distance of all the shops and we had a nice view of the creek called Rio Ruidoso.
