It was going to be my families first time there however upon arrival found their hours reflected online are incorrect as they were closed when we arrived. There really is nothing you can do about that however while we were looking for another spot a lady whom I believe was the owner perhaps, got out of her red Jeep and was incredibly rude about being closed. Her entire demeanor was unnecessarily discourteous and insolent. I highly recommend Tri-State RV Park instead staff there is incredible and courteous.
The gate at the entrance closed on my new motorhome causing $8,600 damage. The owner of the rv park refuses to pay for the damage. Very poor ethics by ownership.
Stayed for 5 nights in June. Nice, clean campground. Very well maintained. Good sized site. Gravel drive and plenty of grass. Water, electric and sewer worked great, no issues. Plenty to do. Great pool, small pond for fishing and kayaking. Beautiful, well stocked store. The owner was an absolute gentleman. It's pretty simple, campgrounds have rules to insure the enjoyment of all guests. Follow the rules and you won't have any issues. Keep your dog on a leash, helmets on your kids when they are riding bikes and mind the 5 mph speed limit and you'll have a great time.
Miss the old owner Barry! The new company that took over is running this once beautiful campground to the ground. The manager is rude and has no business working in customer service. They now turned it into a seasonal only place which is awful. I hope they switch ownership quick!
I stayed at this place last year inside one of their cabins. I felt all the cabins were filthy and not well maintained. I would hear things crawling around in the middle of the night and my kids were terrified. I addressed to the management and apparently they believed I was making up the story because all they could say was that these cabins are inspected by the health department. When I asked when it was done it was way over a year ago. It is poorly managed facility and I would not go back. They are extremely nice when they take your money and if you have a concern it is a completely different experience. I feel this place has very poor customer service and overall I would not recommend this place to anyone I know.
Beautiful Campground. Lots of good amenities. Unfortunately all the good sites are permanent seasonal sites. The transient sites are all open with very few, if any trees. Was visiting a friend's seasonal campsite.
Great place. Very well kept up. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Community activities and pool were amazing. I'd definitely come back to this place. Barry the owner was pleasant to deal and enforces strict speed limit rules, but it's for the safety of the children roaming the grounds, so I'm all for it. Definitely stop here.
Do not stay in the cabins. Under the new management the cabins are filthy. There is also no one around to help you. We waited 4 hours to speak to the manager who looked like she was 12 and acted like a 5 year old. She was so rude. Thankfully we got our money back. Its a shame when Barry owned the place it was great.
I'm in love with this campground. Lovely atmosphere, lots of people who always seem to be in a good mood. I love sitting by the fire with family and friends and relaxing letting go of our worries. I go every Labor Day weekend and I've never found anything wrong with the place. It's always a good time. So really, bring your kids or just with some friends!
I decided to rate this place 1 star because its a very poorly run facility. There are 2 or 3 people that run a 300 plus camp ground. Thats just overwhelming for anyone. The communication with anyone from this place is unacceptable. Hours of operation they say is Mon and Thurs from 9-5, yet when you call during those times no one answers because there is not enough staff. The manager is very rude and obnoxious and demonstrates poor customer service. CorporateZ-man resorts is no better. I guess when your headquartered in a different state you really have no idea what goes on which is poor oversight on their part. There is NO WIFI, VERY POOR CELL SERVICE, NO CABLE, SEWERS THAT SEEM TO ALWAYS BE FULL and the list goes on and on. As a seasonal owner with young kids, it is very important that i know what to do in the event 1 of my children get hurt. With no cell service or wifi o guess they expect you to drive 15 min down the road to call for help, its RIDICULOUS. Also you will notice all the other reviews that seem good but dont be fooled. Those posts are from when this camp ground was owned privately by a gentleman named Barry who sold the property to the Zeman Corp. 2 years ago. Not 1 post about this place since Barry sold it. Seems to me there might be something to hide and i can see why. If someone posts a negative comment about them on their webpage they immediately go in and remove it. I can go on and on but bottom line here folks, the place is not worth it, much better places around the catskills to camp. BEWARE AND DONT BE FOOLED. STAY AWAY!!
