This is the best people you can find. If you are in need of food, this is the place. Awesome caring people. Is amazing the job they do to help.
Delivery driver can’t drive to save her life. Didn’t use her blinker in traffic and also caused a major accident going 65+ mph. I tried to call and let the person in charge know so they could relay a message to the driver, but I got no answer. I was in the area and stopped to let her know to pay closer attention and use her blinker and not be on the phone while driving. I was met with disregard and attitude. Should have just let her hit me from the reaction I was given. Do better.
Staff are great people, they work from their heart's and their passion for the community is outstanding.
At the age of 14 I had volunteered at my local food pantry, Cedar Hill Food Pantry, but never thought I would ever need their assistance. I do admit that as a child volunteering here, it was not fun and pretty boring having to stock the can food items onto the shelves! But, I did it because I enjoyed helping others, especially the ones who really needed it! Sometimes when you least expect it, things in life can change in the blink of an eye and leave you in great need for some assistance! When I visited this location for the first time as the person applying for assistance, yes I felt embarrassed and ashamed. When I arrived, I realized that they were closed and wouldn’t be open again until a couple days later… I was humbled by what happened next! One of the ladies that volunteered here grabbed me and told me it would be okay, then proceeded to take me shopping throughout their store, filling my groceries cart to the top with a variety of food and drink items! At that moment I began tearing up, because I felt as though there was hope! Everyone at the Cedar Hill Shares Food Pantry was very helpful and I could see that they truly cared and were concerned about helping me. I went to them when I really needed the help and the volunteers were so thoughtful and generous. If they don’t have enough food to provide everyone that comes in for help, they will go out and find it/get it, just to make sure that everyone that comes into the food pantry leaves with what they need to survive, plus some! So, If you live in the city limits of Cedar Hill, Texas and need assistance with food, even for your family pets, know that there is help out there to get you through the tough times! Do not be afraid or ashamed to ask for their help, for they will not judge you or look down upon you in any way! They are there for you in your time of need! The food and meals that this food pantry provided me, it fed my family and I for weeks, and I know that I can count on them to never go hungry again! I want to thank each and every volunteer/staff member and the ones whom have helped by donating items and/or money to the Cedar Hill Food Pantry. You truly are blessings for having helped feed my family and me, and other families out there like mine! I will always be grateful for people and places like these that work hard helping others, making this world a much better place! Keep up the awesome work! Much love from my family to yours <3
