Cedar Medical Clinic

I feel I must leave a review after today. I was very worried about my husband, who was recovering from Covid and rang 111 for guidance, as he was struggling to breath. For a number of reasons, the 111 service didn’t work… I rang Cedars and the lady on reception was superb. She put my mind at rest immediately, rang my husband, and got him in to see a doctor within 3 hours. He had a thorough check up and was given an inhaler. Thank you to the whole team, we feel lucky to have such competent and caring people to turn to.

Cedars used to be a fantastic medical centre when Dr Martin worked here. Sadly the service has nosedived of late, and since Dr Martin's departure. Recently, the doctor I saw, sadly spent most of the consultation googling my symptoms, and cross examining me regarding an existing condition which is a common disease. The same doctor failed to provide me with the prescription and it took 4 days to get the matter resolved. This led to me calling the centre repeatedly and a trip to A&E. The trainee doctor should be avoided at all costs!

We are new to the practice. A few minor hiccups initially re medication, but all sorted now. I was unwell recently and the GP listened and prescribed my antibiotics without any drama. My husband went to see Dr Archer for follow up of bloods. She has been excellent, listening, organising referral to the hospital. She rang this evening to see how he was getting on with his medication and reassure him that there was another medication he could take if he developed side effects. We are very happy and impressed with the level of care we have both recieved Thank you Cedars!

Very mixed so far. The reception staff are excellent. I won't name the doctor I saw recently, but they didn't seem to know how to do something very basic and made a misjudgement because of this. I'm a qualified nurse. I left feeling upset.

I don't recommend this practice. I dread becoming ill and I use google and my pharmacist as much as I can. From my experience all I receive is appalling service, rude receptionists abruptly asking me on the phone, what do u want? like I'm an inconvenience. They shouldn't be in this role if all they want to be is rude and obnoxious. Many of the doctors I've seen are not interested and they don't take you seriously. One doctor told me 'times up' and told me to leave because she was busy and that she couldn't help with my menopause symptoms. As I left the reception area was empty. Busy eh? I don't think so. More like can't be bothered. The NHS is the worst it has ever been.

Always receive the best care from Cedars, so lucky to have a great GP Practice in Alsager.

8AM health lottery. You're not allowed to book an appointment down the line. You have to gamble with your health by being able to call at 8am every day for a same day appointment. Completely negligent and incompetent way to run a practice. Say you have something serious but because Sandra with a cold beat you to it, all the appointments have gone. Better to just wait until your health escalates then call an ambulance.

I just want to say what a great asset to Cedars Medical centre is Doctor Mark Martin. I saw him today for the first time feeling quite nervous after not visiting the surgery for over 18 months. His bedside manner is outstanding and I have never felt so cared for. I’ve always felt rushed and the doctors never usually leave their desk or computer. I wish all doctors could be like him. Thank you.

This Doctors surgery plus Chemist is one of the best in the local area. My Wife and I when we first registered here we were a little anxious about attending are first appointment in meaning my wife's and myself past medical history and wondered if they would know our past,and within the first 5 mins of meeting Dr Drake our thoughts were put at ease. So we now know they know how we are whatever Dr we see the surgery itself is clean and we'll presented, the only downside is some of the front of house secretary's they can be very obtuse but I think a little training is all they need and as for the pharmacy on site is second to none for excellent service I cannot fault them they are a bunch of great girls and boys Richard Derek the Driver. So if you are moving to this area is would say nay recommend you register here like most surgery's it has its faults but 9 times out of 10 they get put right.

Appt. Dr Martin this morning ...as always polite caring and considerate to your needs with time to talk in a compassionate reassuring manner. Thank you for your care.
