Our mission is to provide safe environments, experiences, and opportunities that inspire all students to become lifelong learners and contributing citizens in all aspects of their lives.
Our products are our students.
The elementary school years are very important to the long-term development of each child, as these years introduce and engage children in the formal learning process. It is the objective of the Hempfield Elementary Schools to make this experience growth-focused and positive. To do so, we strive to provide students with the challenging instruction and support necessary to build a strong foundation for success now and in the future. Our district’s elementary program includes learning experiences in language arts, mathematics, science, health, social studies, art, music and physical education.
Teachers strive to develop relationships with students so they can use information regarding interests and background experiences to facilitate the growth of the “whole child”. To achieve this goal, a variety of guided learning experiences focused on standards-based instruction and each student’s social and emotional growth are provided.
Our staff will work cooperatively with parents to bring about a positive and rewarding experience. Along with our staff, I urge parents to take an active interest in school activities through attendance at school functions. Through mutual support, cooperation and communication, we are confident that your child's elementary school experience will be successful.
