Easily access basically any book you could want which they either have or can quickly get from another branch. Online/e-Book options as well! Tons of seating and space. Cute seats in the corner by windows. Lots of natural light.
Excellent children's area! Check website for programs and events. Rebecca is great. Usually clears out from noon-2pm while kids nap.
fantastic library with multiple floors, a robust kids section, a fiction and teens floor, nonfiction floor, lots of comfortable reading spaces, study rooms, printing services 10¢ per page black and white i believe, very clean and modern, spacious with lots of natural light, very quiet
To all the people worried about the homeless. How vain are you that you think you deserve to not even have to look in the direction of someone less fortunate? How discompassionate, cruel, and judgemental have you become that you feel you know the plight of the homeless well enough to pass judgement on them? Have you no regard for humanity and the knowledge that people come to be here in this place from starting millions of different ways? Have you ever even asked? Or is it easier for you to comprehend the homeless person's predicament as a choice, so that you can remain unfazed and entitled? Stay trapped in your bubble of naivety and selfishness. It's people like you that should really be looked down upon.
What an amazing library! We were visiting from out of town and happened to stop over on a cold day for something to do. The kids area in the basement is AMAZING - so many things for the kids to do!
Very well laid out. Lots of space to sit and read or browse the internet. Very helpful librarians too.
Bright and Beautiful, not missing anything
Staff are professional and always willing to give you some assistance. First time at this location in downtown Madison and was blown away. The layout is open and plenty of options for sitting and doing some reading. Since I am new to the state, I was able to register for a new library card without a problem. Looking forward to returning to this location even though I live on the west side of Madison.
The author talk and book signing was inspiring. The library remodel really opened up the space, it looks amazing!
Very nice library! I went to the book sale and browsed around. This library also has a lot of books in such a wide variety! Librarians are very nice and I would recommend anyone to come and visit!
