This my favorite place to study on all of campus the little cages are perfect. Just hate it when someone’s on a zoom call or something and you’ve gotta switch floors for peace and quite. But the cages are 10/10 I don’t know where I’d work and eat in peace if I didn’t know about this spot
Kind of a throw back to another era, like maybe the 50's. Private study rooms are a nice feature.
I came here as a tourist and was able to get a one day guest pass using only my drivers license. The front desk staff students! were professional and helpful, and I found a wide selection of periodicals in the second floor reading room. If I were to visit again, I would try to visit on a weekday during business hours to visit the rare books exhibit on floor 9.
One of the great libraries of the world! Old magazines and journals are kept intact for future generations. Unfortunately, it doesn't have as much staff helpersas in the past.
By far the best library on campus!! Known for the stacks but plenty of other places within to study! Sign up online for the cages some are just open/no key required. Tons of books, great location on campus! Great atmosphere for studying in general! Computer rooms and cheap printing as well!
Like the study rooms here and it's quieter than college library. Come find your cozy spot and survive through the semester.
This is my favorite library. Unlike college or law library, only students are allowed, and since it is mostly if not all quiet study, it is perfect to study everyday and get a lot done without distractions. Also, the tables chairs and lighting is also perfect. There are also cages and study rooms that are in isolation for group work or absolute silent study.
This library got me through my entire college career. Head in the main doors where they check your ID, head up the stairs, and turn to the left. The computer area there is where I got probably 75% of my homework and studying done for four years. So quiet and everyone is respectful of each others' space. Study at this library! Heck, I'm here right now!
where I wrote my dissertationforever grateful for everything UW offered
I was sad that it wasn't really open to the public other than one day pass. My husband was on campus for training and many universities I gave visited have an open to the public library. Also it was difficult to navigate in terms of finding their reading rooms
