Description

Central Montana Medical Center (CMMC) is the medical backbone of the central Montana community. Our medical staff includes a full-expertise range of physicians, and consulting specialty doctors. We are a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital.

Informally known as “CMMC", the hospital was built in 1977 and provides a community service to a population spread well over 17,000 square miles. Our medical center is the economic, employment and social fabric of the wide area we serve. Because of the support we receive from our community, the confidence of our neighbors, our exceptional staff, and talented physicians, we continue to be one of the best rural hospitals in Montana.

The worst experience I've ever had at a facility. I doubt the so called doctor had a degree. She was the most rude, unkind, unfit, with the worst bedside manner in history. It is a bandaid factory disguised as a hospital. Please don't go there if your life depends on it because you will die
I had a great experience having my son here at CMMC. Lewistown is very lucky to have a hospital so close with the services they offer. Patty Neeman in billing has always been very helpful in regards to financial payments. Cody the new CEO is very kind and makes each person he interacts with feel important and heard, that is really valuable to employees and patients. Pam York does a great job at the front desk and guides people where they need to get. Thank you to everyone for what they do.
I recently had surgery done by Dr. Smith and his staff. I am beyond impressed with the nurses, CNA’s, and doctors up there. I kid you not, I’d push the nurse button and I guarantee it wasn’t 30 seconds and someone was in the room. This being my 3rd surgery in a year and this was the only one I had here, I can definitively say great job and I appreciate everything you all did for me!
Overall CMMC has always taken care of our family. I was born here and now my children were born here. The billing department is fantastic to work with. I would 100% choose CMMC over the alternatives in town. I have had the worst experiences from OneHealth. The ER teams have been amazing here, and I am thankful we have this hospital in our community.
Living in a small town community, a smaller hospital and core physicians would seem like a dream. No. I've had the worst experiences in the ER. Heart attack in December 2021. ER doc was so rude on top of the pain I was having it was double traumatic to feel so completely uncared for. Then I see Dr. Martignoni for follow up because of severe anxiety right after a heart attack. Solution? Prozac. A long term medication I was truly uncomfortable with. Then stated in medical records I refuse meds? Saying I'm not taking the heart medication I'm actually taking. Saying there's no prescription filled in the state of Montana for a medication that has a verified prescription number recorded at Billings clinic. Soooo just be prepared to be passed over, passed off, ignored, devalued and uncared for on pretty much every level of human kindness.
Receptionist was very rude and seemed extremely annoyed. The doctor was extremely dismissive right away and I could tell I wasn’t being taken seriously. Very poor bedside manner and was extremely rude. Everything and everyone seemed very disorganized as well. Borderline felt like I was on a reality tv show. It was an absolute joke. Drive the extra few miles and go to Billings or Great Falls
Insurance wins over what Dr says needs done so like the rest of the United States the healthcare is bad. Went into the ER for non stop back spasms they did nothing wow screw you too
We went to the ER on a Saturday evening bc stepped on a nail. Insurance recommended a tetnus shot with 48 hours so Monday was longer. The ER did not want to look at the wound. Without seeing the wound told us it would be too expensive to look at it and give the shot. Save time and head for Billings or Great Falls to be seen.
The woman at the front desk of the emergency room is terribly rude
