My Significant Other went for orientation and was flown all the way from SC. But the company dropped the ball and didn’t thoroughly check that his experience was what they were looking for and took him out of orientation and we have now had to pay out of pocket to get him all the way back home.  This company seems great and those who work there seem to love their jobs. However I don’t know if a company should be allowed to fly people out and then let them go per their own lack of due diligence, and it screws the what had been a potential new hire.

Beware, this company has reckless drivers. One of their drivers had 1.5 miles to get into the left lane due to construction. Did he follow the rules of the road? Absolutely not. While I was side by side with his trailer, the driver proceeded to not use his blinker and started forcing his truck into my lane. Despite me laying on my horn multiple times, he continued getting over and forced me onto the shoulder. Grabbed his license plate number, but I’m sure this company doesn’t care about the actions of their drivers.

I've worked with COTC for 10 months now. I'm leaving this review because I feel others should know the truth of what I've seen and heard.  I could talk about their excellent benefits that rival other large companies however, I'd rather talk about the culture.  In the time I've been employed, I've seen flowers go out to families for loved ones to helping with funeral expenses yes, they even care about you in death or loss of a loved one.  I've watched multiple people retire while tears rolled that they were about to leave.  While I've worked at many places this place, COTC is a first for me.  Employees smile a lot and I do mean a lot even in the morning,  laughter is encouraged. You won't find anyone lazy,  from what I can tell it's because they genuinely enjoy this. Each department is extremely supportive of the next.  If something valid needs brought up it is easy to approach management or the smiling faces of HR. While I was learning, they had patience.  When I succeeded, they rewarded. I could go on about the awesome facilities however,  I hope you come check it out for yourself.  I wish I would have found this company sooner in my employment search however, I’m happy I've found it now. Hopefully see you soon.

Company is garbage. Drivers have no respect for elderly individuals or the public. They leave their excessively large trucks parked in front of elderly houses blocking peoples walk ways and they leave their trucks parked in front of houses blocking off parking  in the streets for weeks or moths at a time while they just leave their vehicles abandoned instead of putting them in the truck yard  that is less than a mile awaywhere they belong. Company has nothing but broke down and disgusting looking drivers. If these drivers had any respect for people they would park their four-door 8-ft Cab trucks inside the company yard instead of blocking three elderly people's homes and sidewalk. Drivers and Company are completely disrespectful of local laws individuals and property and has no respect for others. I know I wouldn't hire a company or work for a company that does this to people.

Driver Glen heavy haul trainer stole my $280 oakley sunglasses and puller tool. I can't find another one like it and as good of quality Driver coach Brad preaches about honesty, blames you for things you didn't do and won't allow you to defend yourself. And they both lie. This company does not pay actual miles like they claim. They pay zip code to zip code. Not actual miles. Can't actually drive. Someone watching you at all times. Might as well set cruise control 5-10 mph under the speed limit or you get in trouble for taking slight curve too fast. It's going to take longer to get rid of loads, therfore not actually making more money. If you like tarping this might be the company for you. Central Oregon Tarping Company. Tarp almost every load.

My husband has been here for over a year and he’s been treated really well and makes great money. They are a family oriented type of place, you never sit around waiting for a load and the trucks are always impeccably maintained. Awesome company to work for

All communication was handled like they cared about MY freight.  The driver Adam was fantastic also exhibiting true customer service with his helpfulness. …makes me want to buy more stuff just so I can work with These people.

I am so very happy to be here as a Heavy Haul driver. Everything that was promised to me by my recruiter has been delivered and more. I have been treated with absolute respect as a professional driver. My experience  as a low boy driver has been respected and I have been talked to like my opinion and expertise have value. My time is very valuable to me and i refuse to be just a number..I feel valued at COTC. I am not a company hopper so when I choose a company you can bet its a good one. Not many companies treat orientation drivers as good as I have been treated. I am going to enjoy my career here. Thank you

We had a load booked thru this company. The load was confirmed Monday morning but when we went to pick it up Tuesday we were told they had double booked the load and another truck had already picked it up. No remorse or concern for costing us money or attempt to make it right.

So far 6-7 months working with these guys as a trucker and loving it. They treat you right and have very nice equipment and keep me loaded 247. So far I highly recommend.
