Central Park Plaza Features
The newest of Valparaiso's Parks located in downtwon Valparaiso offers plenty of space for weddings, group services, entertainment needs, and much more. Features include the Porter Health Amphitheater, splash-pad water play area, handicap-accessible restrooms, and a seating capacity of 150.
Season
The plaza is a seasonal building that is open from May to October 15 (approximately). Guests are advised to dress appropriately for the weather.
(The completion of Central Park's expansion will increase the use of the facilities to nearly year-round after the summer of 2015; information will be updated closer to that time.)
Reservation Information
The plaza may be reserved through the Facility Manager at the Valpo Parks Department. A reservation includes use of the Porter Health Amphitheater, the southern half of the lawn area, crowd contral barricades, standard 110 amp outlets, use of the restrooms, and set up and take down of additional features. A non-refundable payment for plaza reservations is due when making the reservation. Reservations are available on Mondays, Thursdays and some available Saturdays. Rental fees are itemized through the Facility Manager; pricing depends upon time/day of the week. Pricing itemization can include perimeter barricades, use of Lafayette Street, extra power requirements, chairs/tables, etc. Security is required for an additional cost.
