Read other reviews that the office hours are inconsistent so decided to book an appointment to come in to see a unit. Showed up and the office was closed, must be nice to make your own schedule, anyway we called the number and was told they are closed Mondays. The business needs to update the hours or state by appointment only not sure it will work either way since they missed the appointment.
Very clean. Easy to rent. No break-ins. Not always open during office hours it's 10:05am but still closed. Also, during daylight savings time, their system needs a day to adjust. For example: gates close at 7 but in the fall they close at 6pm. In the spring, gates open at 7 but really open at 8am. Rents go up after six months. Online service is about a 3. Call center is 3 also. But switching payment cards in person is a snap! Swipe and go.
Awful storage units and rude employees. Don’t put your stuff there, it will get ruined by rats and by bugs and their nests. We had to throw most of our stuff away because of infestation. When we told the management they acted as if they didn’t care. They charge a lot of money for any fees or I f you happen to be late on the rent. They charged us at least $200 on top of the rent fee for being late. Then they proceeded to not let us know about our stuff and our whole unit going up for auction. Our whole lives gone from the storage with not so much as a phone call and still to this day haven’t gotten a return call. Not even from the district storage office. Horrible company and they don’t deserve anyone’s business. Despicable and disgusting.
Do not, I repeat, do not rent here. They rip you off for rates. The managers lie to you, customer service lies to you. In all the time I have rented here, I have NEVER one time received a phone call back from a district manager, even though it has been requested and promised. And the best part is, they tried to jack up the rent and charged everyone late fees during the COVID - 19 pandemic.
This place is a soulless husk of a business. If you absolutely never needed to talk to a human it'd be perfect. However...the office is empty and locked at random times during operating hours, with nothing to indicate why or when it will open up. I've had a couple small issues during my tenancy, and it seemed like every time I needed to talk to somebody the office was empty. They don't even have a phone line, all they list is a corporate automated phone tree that offers no help whatsoever. If you're thinking about renting a unit PLEASE choose one of our local businesses instead.
I reserved a unite on their web site. The web site show price base on size. I choose one and fill up application include credit card information. the last page was rent contract, but the price is way higher than web price. I didn't sign on the contract. But next day they already charged on my credit card. This people are vert dishonest.
Be warned, this is not an easy company to work with! The very 1st time I was late at the gate was Christmas Day, there wasn't any support staff workg due to the holiday and my only option was to walk home. I left my car in front of my unit & was back to pick it up at 6am when the gate opened so I could get to work.... NOT I was absolutely shocked to find they actually had my car towed at2am. Cost me over $400 and 1/2 day missed work. The problem begins with the district manager....trust me- you'll regret storing your valuables at Central Storage in Pacheco!
It's older no elevators but place is clean cheap and folks employed as well as other customers are happy and friendly... My first time using them so far has been excellent, with my only complaint is no elevators..
Manager is great. Owners are horrible and insanely greedy and overcharge. Rent has increased 5 times in less than.two years. if late, you will incur a late fee, then four days later a pre-lien fee, then shortly after again a lien fee. This guy kills his tenants with fees. I e been here five years and my rent has now doubled in just a year and a half. They are also allowing major scumbags to roam the facility. If you have a unit, sit out front and watch as people wait for the gate to open and just go in. No security, nothing. Expensive and overpriced.
So glad to finally be out of this storage. The price never stops increasing to making too expensive. They do not cut you a break for any reason, and force insurance upon you which is not right at all. Most of the units are not climate controlled and some items melted and were damaged by the heat. For that expensive insurance, perhaps I have a claim to submit. I wished I had moved out sooner for all around better storage than this. Also they don't allow access to their bathroom when staff is not there. Had to abandon my valuables to get down the street for a restroom on more than one occasion!
