Cerritos College offers training programs in Cosmetology and/or Esthetics that will prepare you for a career and the state board exam!
In our Cosmetology program you will learn how to cut, color, perm, straighten and braid hair along with other applications and techniques. You will also learn manicuring, pedicuring and skin care.
In our Esthetician program you will learn how to analyze skin, perform facials, massages, extractions, make-up and how to treat common skin problems.
With both programs you can earn your certificate and a degree!
Our Salon is also open to the public. We offer a wide variety of services performed by our Cosmetology and Esthetician students.
Our mission in the Cosmetology Department is to provide students with the knowledge and experience necessary to enable them to proceed directly into the workplace with confidence. The cosmetology department is dedicated to reaching out to diverse social and economic communities. Thus, we provide comprehensive training programs in a diverse environment that is conducive to learning. The program prepares the student for state examination and licensing. In conjunction with the college mission statement the Department provides career technical training which allows students to petition for a Certificate of Achievement and Associate of Arts Degree.
