Okay - let’s start with the good stuff about Chapel Hills. It’s a really fun course that offers different challenges based on which tees you decide to play. It has so many undulations in the fairways as well as levels on the greens that can be setup many different ways. It’s also a very scenic course with lots of elevation changes and interesting hole layouts. The staff is always friendly and they have many events at the club. The course is in reasonably good shape. The greens are always great though they were a little slower today than I’ve seen the past. They are normally lightening fast. Several fairways have drainage issues in spots but nothing major given the soaking we’ve taken this year. Several of the bunkers are in need of refreshing since the sand is very thing and has turned red because of the clay content. Several of the cart paths have areas that need repair - again nothing too terrible but you’ll notice it for sure. All-in-all this is always a great place to play - really enjoy the course, people and pace of play.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were told upfront that the bunkers were under maintenance. The greens and fairways were great! If you have the opportunity treat yourself to a round at Chapel Hills!
Really fun day with Marietta New Theatre in the Square!
The greens are in great condition now!. Very nice track and the marshal kept the groups moving at a comfortable pace.
I am a member since 2015. Ever since ClubCorp morphed to “Invited”, what consultant told them that was a good name, the course has steadily declined in condition save for the greens while the prices continue to increase and the benefits decrease. The excuses for the conditions of the bunkers that are a mix of rock, gravel, mud and water are as bad as the conditions of said bunkers. Unplayable. The range is a disaster and the alternate range is unusable due to a washout situation that they won’t fix. The only hope is that Apollo can find a buyer to unload Invited from their portfolio. Sink holes are opening on some fairways without any repairs planned. I live in the golf course neighborhood and my fear is the course will close, ala Bear Creek down the road did. The city already owns a golf course and it’s in better shape than this private club.
The course is in amazing condition. Just a beautiful course with picturesque fairways and very smooth unblemished greens except were A-holes don't repair their divots. It is so nice we played last week and are already scheduled a Tee time for this week. Only criticism is some of the sand traps hold water but it was after several days of heavy rain.
Love this Club Corp golf course in Douglasville, GA. Great 18 Hole Course with tough blind shots and downhill tee shots! Unique 18 Hole Course for any handicap! Have fun playing!
Looks like they aren't doing Friday Breakfast which we really enjoyed, however the clubhouse has been renovated and is nice. Course was in great shape today other than a few sand traps that needed more white sand.
Course was in okay condition. Fairways were in decent shape but the greens were nice. The sand in the bunkers had no give - you really had to chip out. Rough was thick and a little unruly. Course played well and offered some challenging holes. Some very nice Par 4 with narrow fairways. 18 is nice finishing hole. Range was serviceable with plenty of balls. Grass was worn but to expected at this point in the season. No marshall on duty to organize starts. Clubhouse food was good and the service was great. One annoyance, was the like of signage made it difficult to find your way. I realize I was a guest buy imagine it's annoying for new members as well. All in all, it's a lower level Club Corp course.
My partner and I ordered the reuben and a cheeseburger at the clubhouse today. Delicious. The kitchen staff were courteous and on point. Food was aces.
