What an awesome place! We did 3 nights here riding out on horseback on the big south fork trails. We had an awesome breakfast waiting for us in the morning with coffee, a packed lunch for the day, and dinner served family style when you got back. This experience was amazing between the meals, the authenticity of the lodge, and of course most of all the owner Greg’s hospitality! Thanks again Greg from Canada!
Where to begin. This was a wonderful experience. My wife and I are huge campers and hikers and this was the first time we hiked into a lodge. We chose the option to camp just off the property and use the facility and eat breakfast and dinner. It was nice to get a shower since we were on a multi day back packing trip. The food was amazing and a nice break from freeze dried food. It was my wife's Birthday along with a few others so the owner made a wonderful birthday cake. We will absolutely come back with our daughter and stay in one of the cabins.
This place was pretty cool, and our group had a ton of fun. The cabins are cozy and well heated even in the 20 degree cold outside. There is plenty of wood on location for your stoves. The bathrooms were kept warm and were kept locked and clean for people staying at the lodge. The meals were very good, especially dinner. Breakfast was good, but didn’t hold a candle to the amazing dinner. The area itself is amazing, and viewing stars at night is great. The arches hike from the lodge is is beautiful as well. Overall very much recommend this place for group/family get togethers to get away from the city for a bit.
We stayed here for our 25th anniversary. place is gorgeous, historic, and rustic. We stayed in the Corn Crib. There's no power or cell service, but they have rechargeable fans and lights in the rooms, and a woodburning stove plus thick blankets for cold nights. The bed was a bit soft for me, but the sheets were super soft, and we slept well. Dinner and breakfast were incredible - to the point that I bought my wife a cookbook from Greg, the super friendly manager and cook! They also have a modern bathhouse with hot showers, too. If you like rustic, primitive accommodations off the beaten path, you'll love Charit Creek Lodge!
Such a unique property. Hiked-in and enjoyed rustic accommodations, delicious meals, a great variety of beer to choose from, Corn-hole. a camp fire with S'mores and star-gazing and fire-flies. Twin Arch hike is stunning. Host Greg is a fabulous host and great Chef. Plans for "next time" are already in the works. Noteworthy details: Off-the-grid!
Don’t trust anyone who doesn’t give CCL five stars! We spent two nights in an attached cabin with our 4 year old, 6 year old, and 1 year old Doodle. The food, service, and grounds are truly phenomenal. Planning to come back next fall to see a different season. One word of advice: if you come during yellow jacket season, do keep your dog leashed on the trails. We learned the hard way…twice! Rooms: I love how the rooms are configured based on the group. Nearby activities: The Arches are a must see! Food & drinks: The kind of breakfast you want before heading out on a full day’s adventure and the kind of dinner you want to come “home” to! Excited about recreating our favorite dishes from the cookbook.
Had an amazing time at Charit Creek Lodge. Wonderful food, comfortable cabins and beds. Close to trails. Greg and the staff mad everything feel we were at upscale full service resort all while off the grid! Made a great basecamp for daddy/daughter time away!
A rustic setting ... but everything you need to feel comfortable. The food was excellent ... and an impressive beer collection!!! Surprised how comfy the beds were and clean the common bathrooms were. You are off grid ... but don't miss it at all! Nearby activities: The Twin Arches are a must!! Picket CCC Memorial State Park is a nearby gem - with a small lake that goes under a natural arch.
Elevated, elegant experience in the woods! From the awe inspiring hike in to the friendly manager to the gourmet fare we were blown away by everything there. Thank you Greg for welcoming us into your slice of paradise.Rooms: 5/5
A couple of friends and I picked the lodge for a short weekend hiking trip. Everything was amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was great, and everything you need to know is laid out accurately on the website. If you want to unplug and reconnect with nature, this is a great place to do it.Rooms: 5/5
