I've been in Charleston Gold and Diamond a few times now. The first time I came in, they were very helpful with a damaged watch clasp I had. They sent it off and I had it back in no time. Any watch I get in, I always take it in for Jeff to take a look. He is always very friendly and is an expert at what he does. I look forward to doing more business soon.
We got there just before 5. Jeff said they were getting ready to close. I asked if they closed at 6, and he said yes. He made it sound as if they were locking up. I felt like I was an inconvenience. We were interested in selling some jewelry and basically, he wrote down a total on a Post-it note. No real explanation, no itemization. Based on my interaction I would definitely not recommend this establishment. I want to feel like I am a valued customer, so not my experience. The good news is it only took ten minutes.
I was recommended this place and am so happy I did business here. I worked with a gal Pam and she has exceeded my expectations on customer service. She is honest and fair but also very knowledgeable as well. I definitely would recommend seeing Pam for your jewelry needs as well as this location. Thanks for everything, y’all rock!

Jeffrey Lantz assisted me with questions regarding selling a ring that had great sentimental value. He was professional and kind and gave excellent advice. He also cleaned my rings and removed links from my watch at no cost. I have sold gold to this business in 2019 and they gave me the best and highest dollar amount at that time . If you visit this business be sure to ask for Jeffrey Lantz.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Gold & Diamond Exchange working with Jody Gruber. In November, on a trip from Charleston to Spartanburg, I lost the diamond engagement ring that my husband bought for me at Gold & Diamond Exchange 22 years ago. It ended up being automatically flushed down a toilet at a rest area. Luckily, my husband had it insured as part of our home owner’s policy. Jody worked expertly with our insurance company & went out of her way to make sure that I received my beautiful new diamond this week.
Different Name but an honest review!! This is definitely the place and people to do business with. I came in a few days before my birthday and was treated with the respect. They were honest and I was satisfied with my transaction. I'm grateful to have been able to have had the experience. I will definitely be back to sell and/or buy. I also got a chance to get a jewelry cleaner which I needed for quite some time. I had to travel about an hour to get there but it was well worth it.
Took my Movado watch in to get a new battery. I’ve been a customer for 15 years and have always been satisfied. This time a new employee helped me. When I went in to pick it up she said she couldn’t get the back of the watch to go on. She had it taped up and told me to take it somewhere else to see if they could put the back on. I took to another jewelry store and the back went on easily. But she pointed out that the stem of my watch was broken off. Will cost $300 to fix. Informed CGD trough a letter a month ago and have heard nothing. My watch worked 2 days before I took it in for a new battery. Now it doesn’t. Be careful who you deal with there.
Friendly staff and amazing service! They handle jewelry repair and offer fair quotes for buying your jewelry. Glenn from Dallas was incredibly helpful last time I was in there.
