Charleston Tea Room & Cafe

I really enjoyed this quaint little sandwich bistro. The chicken salad on a croissant was delicious! I drank hot tea with mine. Service was excellent; very attentive and friendly waitress but not intrusive. I'd go back and take guests with confidence in a good return on investment. Highly recommend.

Was everything in the ambiance, down to the sampler of different sandwiches. Salad freshly made. Topped off with freshly brewed apricot ice tea! Highly recommended!

Wow! Things have changed and I won't be coming back here again. Service was very slow and it was obvious they are spending their time on to go orders and NOT restaurant customers. Also the description of the tuna salad is erroneous. My sister was misled by the menu so went without most of her lunch AND then they surcharge for using a debit or credit card! Never again for me!

Today my son and I finally tried this restaurant and I’m so glad we did! I had the chicken salad over greens plate and the baked potato soup - both delicious! My boy also loved his food but I think he loved the warm, buttery, flaky bread they brought with our drinks even more. Tea was fresh and strong and the service was fast. Definitely plan on returning with the rest of the gang soon!

My go to lunch spot every time I’m in town! I always order a sandwich or salad sampler bc I can’t decide what my favorite item is. Everything is so good! I’m also a big fan of the potato salad and the Charleston delight dessert. The apricot iced tea is so refreshing. The owner is so sweet and attentive to her customers. Highly recommend.

Glad they're back open 11-2! Some great new delicious items added to their always great menu. Fast, friendly service. The new management is very welcoming, hard-working, and accommodating. Good prices!

I called ahead to see of there was dine in available, never got an answer. I arrived about 1 pm to see and the place was packed. I was seated after 10 min of waiting, my order was taken only to tell me later they were out of potato soup and they substituted with what tasted like canned chicken noodle... and my plate was not served to greet the eyes like it has been served in the past. Wait staff was nice and attentive but experience was not as nice. Perhaps because they were swamped it showed in the service. May try again but not so soon.

Food was awful. Every dish. The egg salad was sliced and drenched and mixed with an off-brand salad dressing and put on a low budget croissant. Their corn chowder was bland with no flavor. The pumpkin bread was dry. The shrimp salad was boiled shrimp drenched in an off brand salad dressing with no seasoning. The chicken salad tasted like canned deviled spread. Pimento cheese didn’t taste homemade. Everything seemed to be low budget store bought slapped together. No attention to detail. Olive green plastic table covers. No China ... cheap white restaurant plain plates. Their signature Charleston Delight desert served on almost every plate in plastic jello cups, was nothing to write home about. If you delight in an awesome tea room experience, then skip this place! Wish I could give them zero stars!

The best place for lunch in Friendswood! Excellent food, tea, and friendly service! Perfect spot for casual dining or a special event. Plus, supporting locally owned businesses is great for our community. My family loves it here and we will always come back!

My mom and I have been to the tea room several times. We always enjoy ourselves. The cucumber sandwiches are wonderful but the chicken salad sandwich is the absolute best. Don't forget to get the dessert samplers, it's a religious experience. I swear I heard angels singing
