Great experience for a root canal? : Yes, I highly recommend Dr. Joe and his team here. I recently had a double root canal. Not fun, though I was relieved and grateful to have the expertise of Dr. Joe and team. Dr. Joe took time to walk through the x-rays and the procedure. He was very patient and made sure I got all my questions answered. He even followed up with a phone call after each procedure I had a couple phases in the procedure. When I called with a concern, he replied quickly and provided guidance. Very glad to have Charlotte Endodontics on my Healthcare Team!
My original post was based on my initial consultation. So now I gladly provide this update with 5 stars. Dr. Joe Byun thoroughly explained the process of getting a root canal and especially why I needed it. I experienced "no pain and no discomfort" during or after the procedure. It was one of the best experiences I've had in healthcare. He and his assistant provided quality care and the ladies at the front desk were very personable and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Byun and Charlotte Endodontics.
Dr. Byun was AWESOME!! He explained everything, had a wonderful personality and put me at ease during my first root canal. He was very caring and I appreciated it. You can tell that he cares about his patients and loves what he does. I highly recommend Dr. Byun! The best professional!
Dr. Byun and staff were wonderful. I was incredibly nervous to have my first root canal, and Dr Byun put me at ease. The procedure was surprisingly comfortable and over pretty quickly. Highly recommend this practice after my experience.

Great experience. Dr Byun and his assistant made my root canal experience a great one. The procedure was very quick roughly 30 minutes and pain free.
0-Stars.. My daughter was recommended to this "Specialist?" for a "typical" cold tooth problem. $320 later X-Rays taken-and nothing done. After the situation was "explained" without anything being repaired, she was sent on her way with the same problem.
Dr. McMurray represents every positive quality you would want in any doctor. I went in as a referral, fully expecting that it would result in a root canal based on the symptoms and issues I had. After a very thorough evaluation, including explaining every aspect of my teeth and issues in visual detail, he determined that I didn't need to have a root canal and instead needed to resolve an issue with my gums. If you have been advised to get a root canal, see Dr. McMurray first! You won't regret it.
Dr. McMurray was great. He' takes the time to explain the procedure and takes the extra steps to ensure that the patient is comfortable and that the procedure is painless. I certainly don't want to keep having root canals, but should the need arise, I'll be going back to him without question. Also totally recommend him to anyone in need of the procedure. He's the best!!
This office from the front desk to the procedure area is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve never had a root canal before, but Dr. McMurray was really great to work with. His demeanor is friendly and calming, and it made me feel a whole lot better about having the procedure done. After the numbing medicine wore off, I had very minimal discomfort and it only lasted about 2 hours. I don’t have any pain at all right now, which is amazing considering the work that goes into it. I do have to go back to complete out as I had residual infection that needed some extra time, but I’m sure my 2nd appointment will go just as smoothly as this one did. I like that they had early appointments available I went in at 7:30 and start to finish only took about an hour. They gave me post procedure instructions and Dr. McMurray said he would call me later to check in. I was really nervous to have this done, but they were exceptional. I’d highly recommend choosing their office and I’m really happy that my dentist referred me to come here. Thank you for everything!
