I've been at this office for a number of years. They always work to see me within fifteen minutes of arrival. The staff are pleasant and kind. They take time to explain things regarding my treatment. I have always felt like I received timely referrals recently for PT and a foot surgery, never given unnecessary medications, and good health coaching. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Chattanooga.
The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The wait isn't too bad, especially for a doctor's office. They can get you in pretty quickly and sometimes same day for an appt. And our doctor, Vicky Cooke, is very caring and understanding. Update: I had an issue with lacking communication and returned phone calls from the nurses and the office manager was extremely helpful and understanding. I was afraid she wouldn't necessarily care, but she was so apologetic and helped me get the answers to why my messages were ignored. Very happy with the outcome of an extremely frustrating situation.
I initially called to make an appointment with my cardiologist who had moved to this office. He was no longer practicing here at the time of my appointment so I was seen by Vicky Cooke. I've now been a patient for many years. No other practice even comes close to the quality folks you will encounter here. Friendly, caring, compassionate, are a few of the words that come to mind. Time and time again Ms Cooke, and others here, have shown I'm more than a social security number and birthdate, the care is personal. Visitors will also appreciate the timely appointments. I'm always frustrated by doctors that have strict rules on cancellations, arrival times, etc, but leave you in the waiting room well past your appointment time, or go back for the initial nurse care and wait again forever for the doctor. You won't find that treatment here. Be on time for your appointment, you won't be waiting for long! There are many choices for care in the greater Chattanooga area, seemingly hundreds are closer after I moved, yet I make the 40 minute drive. Give them a visit and you'll find a new PCP worth the trip.
I just left there after being told that I had been discharged back in January due to dispute with a staff member over the phone about my care. The dispute was not with Vicki Cooke my former NP, she has never talked to me about it, she was out of town during this time.... I guess it's common practice now to have no say so about your care. Regardless, you discharged me as a patient, fine, I will go someplace else... My complaint, you sent out a certified letter in January, or you say you did, you wouldn't show me the receipts. I never received any letter, why would I have shown up for an appnt if I had received it. I had an appnt scheduled on 6/14 since my last appnt in December of 2017. I received a call to confirm my appointment, I asked to change the appnt to today's date. Yesterday I received a call to confirm my appointment. I came in for my appnt, I was asked to update paper work and then taken back to a room.... It was then I was finally approached about the letter that was "sent" out in January. Vicki Cooke would not even come and talk to me. I was humiliated and all of this was over a dispute with a very rude staff member about antibiotics for a sinus infection. Today I came in with a black eye and a hurt shoulder from a fall yesterday, I thought I was going to have it looked at. . I guess I need to find a new doctor to take a look at it.... My advice to the staff there, if you discharge someone as a patient make sure your staff and the patient knows about it. And to Vicki Cooke, I suggest you take the time to talk to your patients before you make rash, uninformed decisions. I'm truly baffled at this, all over antibiotics for a sinus infection.
I made my husband an appointment for a physical. This was his first time in the office. When we arrived, he double checked that it was scheduled as a physical so that it would be covered by insurance and was assured it was. During the appointment the FNP addressed that he may have a sinus infection coming on which he informed her he has always struggled with and was currently taking medication for. He also asked a question which she referred him to a dermatologist and wrote him an antibiotic. Because his health was addressed beyond "you're alive, have a nice day" it was billed as a medical visit rather than a physical which is not covered 100% under our insurance and now we owe quite a bit to the doctor's office for a prescription and a referral. While trying to resolve this with the office and billing agency, I was ignored, given the run around, and hung up on because I continued to ask for it to be billed as what we scheduled and was assured we were there for instead of simply agreeing to pay. I absolutely would not recommend coming here. While the FNP was friendly and helpful, the office manager, practice owner, and billing agency was rude and unhelpful in addition to their sneaky billing.
The staff is warm and welcoming. Dr. Vicky takes her patients to heart and listens to them. I’ve been blessed to be her patient since 2003.
First time visit and the staff was great, was brought back within 5 minutes of my appointment time, and she listened to everything I had to say, tackling each issue one by one. Love this office!
The staff here has always been very helpful and caring.
