Dr. Mitchell has changed my life. Although I have awesome insurance I wanted to support her practice for handling patients without insurance. Best decision I ever made. She's changed my diet, my thyroid medication. I am healthier at 72 than I've ever been. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Mitchell has helped me change my life. I appreciate her very thorough search and questioning to search for the problems and solutions to lead me on a much a healthier path. She leads by example. She has a powerful life-story that is quite inspiring. I highly recommend her!
I have an employee who has been making trouble for awhile. Around a year ago during work travel to a convention he called a female helper a stupid C-word and said some other misogynist and sexist comments. He also bad mouthed his boss to other employees and was being all sorts of disrespectful. By rights he should have been fired but we have been very patient with him for a long time. He had his pay reduced and was told he had to move out of work he had been living there for two years for free as a favor. He really did not like being punished and held a grudge from then on. He was originally hired because we needed help going to conventions as an exhibitor, that was the main reason to bring staff on originally. He liked doing the travel, he used to say all the time how he hoped we made money at them so he could keep doing them. We did one such convention after the "stupid C-word" incident and he was okay, though he pouted most of the time. The woman he had accosted wasn't there for this one. But then, around a year later, we returned to the scene of his misogyny and he lost it. During setup he was yelling at a different female helper and throwing things. After we returned from this trip he was given a week off so he could calm down and collect himself. After he returned to work it was learned he developed a scheme where he could get fired so he could either sue the company for disability discrimination, or get social security disability, and or get unemployment as well. But he said he wanted to get fired so he could get a disability lawyer and it had to be fired and not quit so he could get insurance. So his plan was to go and ask his therapist who he had been seeing to write a note saying he doesn't have to go to conventions anymore. So anyways his therapist apparently said no, he needs to stop externalizing blame and if he wanted a new job just go look for one and quit. Then he found Dr. Danielle Mitchell and her Sports Medicine clinic. Mental health issues don't quite seem like her specialty. She was very willing to give him a nebulous note that just said "health reasons" the employee said it was stress and that I should call her to learn more. So I call her, this is where the review of her really starts, the rest is just back story. I say something like "Can you even talk to me about this or does HIPAA prevent you?" That is all I say, and she starts yelling at me on the phone, how dare I even ask, cutting me off, I can’t get another sentence in and she hangs up. So I call back and her receptionist says “She wants to talk to you.” So she comes on the line again and I say “If you wanted to talk to me why did you hang up” and she starts screaming again, so loud anyone else in the building had to hear her. Her voice trembles uncontrollably. I’m very calm saying things like “Why are you so mad ma’am?” But she has flown off the handle and threatens me and says she will not stand bullying and she is recording the call and she says she has my name and caller ID, I offer her my address too. If she had any patients they had to be hearing this. Then she hangs up again. I think this lady knew she did something unethical and like the Shakespearean lady who protests too much, she tried to bluster her way out of it. All she had to do was have a calm two minute conversation letting me tell her about the patient while saying nothing other than “I’m sorry HIPAA won’t let me divulge other details.” She couldn’t handle that. She is running for office too and I can’t see how someone with her self control could function in government. So thanks to her meddling and decision to play into the patient’s blame shifting behavior the patient has not been helped. He is unemployed and probably won't get benefits, without health insurance, and last I knew on so many drugs he cannot drive himself anywhere. His therapist I think was probably on the right tracking in looking after the patient's best interest. Dr. Mitchell, it seems either she didn't care about her patient's situation, or worse she thought this was going to help.
What a find! It's so refreshing to find a doctor who values prescribing exercise and diet as much as necessary prescription drugs.
A blatant rip-off of Center for Sports Medicine. Nice try guys. Next time try to be a bit more discreet.
Great Doctor, nice people
