I've really enjoyed working with this company. The staff have gone above and beyond for my needs. I'm so glad they are here to help us be the best nurses we can be to our patients. Definitely, grateful they are here to help me with my career.
This company is in charge of pike county jail. The nurse their treats animals and dirt better than the inmates. She would rather let them lay in jail and die than to treat then properly. She don't want to give them medicine when it's needed and makes comments that was uncalled for such as it was your choice to get arrested it's my choice to care for you.
SHP fired a great med tech with no reason other than “some of the guards did not like her!” When I spoke up for her, they fired me! Neither of us had any verbal, or written disciplines at all! Never, in over 30 years as a nurse, have I seen a company treat wonderful employees so horribly with no respect or value at all!
By far the best company I have ever worked for. Truly like family.
I wrote a complaint about the head Nurse, Lydia Fulton, and how she harassed, targeted me and the corporate office decided to "put this back in her lap to handle". She fired me.today 05/31/2022. Nobody passed my complaint to HR, nobody followed protocol with the accusations I made. How is this legal? She couldn't even give me a reason WHY she was letting me go. Retalliation, that's all it is.
They have nurses working in facilities that don't know what medications are narcotics or the generic name for medications. Instead tried to tell me the med was a different name that includes four other names for the med. I'm confused. How do you not know the generic name and whether it's a narcotic or not. Then, the nurse and head nurse were rude and the head nurse refused to handle the situation. Then, the nurse lied and said she called the pharmacy to find out someone's meds and found out she didn't. Give me a nurse who is compassionate and in it to ensure she's doing the right thing and if she doesn't know, asking questions. I contacted the corporate office and filed a concern. Don't be quiet when someone is playing with your health!
If I could give a negative review I would!!! They will let inmates die before actually helping. Sad!!!!! Treat animals better than they treat the inmates
Horrible place for treatment they work in the maury county jail in columbia and without replacing or trying to lower the inmates meds they just completely cut them off and dont tell them anything as well as making inmates get medically cleared 2 and 3 times in less then 2 weeks and then charge them for it. There employees are the rudest people I have ever come into contact with and I work with them in the jail I honestly rather have the inmates all day long then to work with nurses for 5 min.

Southern Health Partners is in charge of the medical care at Taylor Co. Detention Center in Campbellsville, KY. My brother is incarcerated there for failing to pay child support. He takes an antipsychotic medication to treat depression related to bipolar disorder. Is is prescribed to take at bedtime. He has never been seen by the physician or the nurse practitioner employed by SHP, however, the nurse practitioner denied his medication stating they don't give medicine for sleep. The medication, Seroquel, was brought in to the nurse. It didn't cost the jail a penny, yet it is being denied by a health care worker who has never even evaluated him. This is unacceptable medical negligence.
