Chelsea city hall is not helpful at all. I have seen them close early. Dealing with them is like pulling teeth. I don’t know how the city even pays them. No one can answer the phones there. No one can answer your question or help you. You get the run around when it comes to things. What are they doing? This really makes me want to sell my home and move out of this city. And I love chelsea so it’s sad to see that the city is dropping the ball hard when it comes to serving its residents I wish I could give you zero or negative stars. What the hell Chelsea do better!!!
They get paid to work but never answer the phones lived in Melrose Wakefield that city hall always answer the phones. People work in Chelsea city think they are privileged. Not to answer phone closes at 12 on Fridays too
Looking forward to get my family out of this city!!! Today someone in this city hall told my son he’s lucky he’s still driving his car… Apparently his vehicle will be towed for not paying the parking tickets! The city keeps giving him tickets every night right outside the house we reside! He was told he owed taxes but he never couldn’t find the bill online he went to city hall twice and no one was able to help him! My son is been receiving chemotherapy he’s always in and out of the hospital he goes to work sick and he’s a full time student… they don’t care about that they want to make my son more sick than what he is already. They want my son to go rob a bank to pay $900 in parking tickets he’s been getting outside the house. My son is a college student and works part time and most of the time he goes to work sick! This city love stealing in every way they can… Same with the trash you have to buy a sticker for $40 for any size tv even for a computer monitor! Can’t forget to mention the staffs in this place are always RUDE!!! We asked to speak to a supervisor and they were all looking at each other making fun faces making fun of us like we are a joke. For them people in this city don’t deserve to be treated with respect like we have no right to speak to a supervisor!
Went online to see today's hours of operation, being Thanksgiving eve. It said closes at 4,reg business hours. Went to get a parking pass today at 3pm and they were closed. This will most likely result in a ticket for yours truly.
Just absolutely awful. They have literally not once ever picked up the phone. Worst communication ever. Completely unhelpful. And echoing another reviewer - the parking permit thing is ridiculously terrible. They sent the stickers automatically for years and then stopped, didn't notify anyone, and started ticketing. To make things even worse, I knew I had a ticket on file but misplaced the physical ticket. Couldn't find it online. Called them and left a message because I wanted to pay it on time. They NEVER CALLED BACK. And then send me a letter telling me it's past due and there's a late fee. But god forbid you return my call. What an absolute joke. And everywhere you look it says to call them if you have any problems. Well my problem is that they don't answer the phone. Joke.
We are there to pay for parking residences tickets waiting in a line of one hour and outside in the parking is a guy putting ticket to ours cars. Ridiculous.
Nice historic building. There are several 30 minute parking spaces, but don't stay past 30 minutes because they will ticket you. Lines at some offices can be long, depending on the day. The office workers are generally nice and helpful.
Parking permits are a joke. Auto renewed for covid and then didn’t send out any notifications for any renewals and just started ticketing. Amount of money they make in ticketing residents they could at-least fix the roads and the smell of the city hall.
City Hall in Chelsea Mass make sure to have cash because they do not have any payment system for a credit card or debit cards but they have some type of kiosk machine that you can make a payment on? and while entering the city of Chelsea make sure to call a week after to make sure you did not receive a parking ticket because you will not get a notice until after 21 days in the mail if you even receive one. What a Good operation scam for City Hall or parking enforcement to issue tickets without leaving a ticket on vehicle. And not to allow you to leave a complaint or parking Enforcement operation...
Very confused because on the paper I wrote on it gave options for weekly passes , temp passes etc. I live in Chelsea just haven't reregistered my car yet. But now I'm being told no more visitor passes. my names on the lease here as well. These people take a very long time as well .
