Spanning all wars from WWI through Iraqi Freedom and representing all military branches, this expansive museum honors veterans, soldiers and patriotism. Northeast Louisiana’s important role in aviation and military history is also showcased. The bilingual “Way of a Fighter” Exhibit houses the country’s largest collection of General Claire Lee Chennault artifacts and correspondence. Admission is free but donations are appreciated. The museum is an independent entity and not funded by the state, so memberships and donations keep the facility operational.
