Chester City Hall and Opera House is a historic city hall and theatre located at Chester, Chester County, South Carolina. It was built in 1890-1891, and is a Romanesque Revival style brick building. The façade consists of three sections: a four-story tower, gabled three-story central section, and a less ornate section three-story section. The interior was renovated following a fire in 1929, which destroyed the original spire tower containing a four-faced clock. Since 1891, this building has housed the town’s administrative offices.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

A great dinning experience in Chester, lovely staffs and the roof garden table is fantastic!! Ordered 2 starters and 2 mains, foods are nice!  Starters; King scallops - Baked scallops are cooked to standard, juicy and fresh, cheese sauce not very cheesy, very well balanced dish.  Salt and paper ribs - Bit size rib, juicy and tender, coating is crispy but not greasy. It come with a spicy sesame sauce, which is well match with the ribs.  Mains; 300g ribs eye - ordered medium rib eye, it looks more like medium well on the table, but it is a quality cuts of beef, tender, well seasoned and pack with bbq flavor.  Wild venison - Venison is perfectly cooked, surprisingly the truffle mash is enhanced the taste of the venison

What a wonderful evening. Lovely food and cocktail. Staff plentiful and cheerful. Ambient music was a tad too loud, but it didn't ruin our evening. If you're in Chester I would suggest booking a table and enjoy a wonderful evening.

We stayed overnight in Chester and booked to eat here after looking at reviews and I'm so glad we did! Loved everything about this restaurant, staff so amazing and attentive, especially our waiter Marcus! Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere! Live band so we literally danced the night away! We live in Liverpool but will definitely do the drive back just to come back!

Met with friends hear for a 40th birthday meal and had a great night. Staff are friendly and provide good service. Food was OK my starter wasn't great to be fair so sent it back and it was taken off the bill. £9 a glass of house white seems quite expensive to but I'm probably out of touch with prices these day's. Don't let this put you off everyone else had great meals . And the atmosphere is great

Lovely place for taking someone out for a special meal. One of the nicest places to be in Chester with the outside decor as beautiful as the inside decor. The menu is quite extensive catering to everyone’s taste. The staff is very accommodating

Food was yummy. Excellent service.  Tasted my first crab  and it didn't disappoint.  Our waitress found out it was our mini moon and she looked after us really well.  Even served our desserts on a board with congratulations  for us.  Pavlova for dessert  too

What an evening. Would go back in a heartbeat. The love music was incredible and the food. Well, I started with the steak tartare. This was a good one but to find it on the menu nowadays is amazing. My girlfriend had the coquettes which were amazing. But the main. We had a chateaubriand to share with Mac and cheese and truffle chips. So very good. One of the best I’ve had in a while. Service was excellent and can’t wait to go back!!

I booked Opera for lunch to celebrate my best friend’s birthday she hadn’t been before and I’d made the recommendation to her from my past experiences. I was not disappointed and she had a brilliant time thanks to the fabulous personal service from our wonderful waitress Hannah. She made us feel so special, recommended a delightful non alcoholic cocktail and even went to the trouble of creating a beautiful Happy Birthday truffle board and candle to complete the celebration! The food was amazing too!! Thank you  Hannah & Opera!!!

Loved the food and a great atmosphere.  The 6 of us would definitely return Negative point - they surprised my husband with Happy birthday plate of six truffles, complementary.  When we got the bill, they had charged us for them. On balance though, fab night
