Restrooms: Yes, but they are Port-a-Johns. Dog-friendliness: Yes, it's their dog park. Keep in mind, they can be untrained and stray dogs taken to this area. Picnic area: They are tables, but are shared with the skate and field hockey parks.
Visiting Chattanooga with our Great Dane puppy and loved this dog park. It was very quiet on a Monday morning, but there were a couple of dogs to play with and lots of tennis balls. Iggy had a blast!
I'm a visitor to your city and travel with my dog. It was nice to have a dog park in the downtown area that allowed my pet to have an area to run free and socialize with other dogs which we also do at our hometown.
Nice park look like to take your dog. The neighborhood smells bad.
The place itself is pretty cute. ive been coming here for about two months and havent had any issues with the park other than the people. theres alot of really cool people, but some simply dont care about if their dog is misbehaving or not. A fixed dog kept trying to mount mine and then when i picked my dog up he bit me, the owner did nothing. Just make sure that if you come here not to expect the owners of the dogs to take accountability if something happens to your dog because chances are they wont
Nice park with small dog area option. Water fountains were there, but still have not been turned back on for the season. It was dry, but could tell it could get a but muddy when wet. A good amount of feces on the outside of the park, but I can't fault the park for that. Dog owners need to clean up after their pets. There were bags available for use at the park.
Other reviews are correct. This isn't the best but, its the closest to downtown and there's water available for the pups.
Large play area with a large area dedicated to small dogs. Fresh water in both. Just across the parking lot from dog friendly Naked River Brewing! Updated to 5 star review after revisiting. The large hole in fence is fixed.
My dog recommends for all dogs to bring their good humans to this park. "Good Humans Who Leave No Poo Behind" could be the name of THIS park. Very impressive, Good Humans of Chattanooga! We've been to many dog parks over the past decade and there's always a poo pie left around somewhere. It's what we've allowed our dog parks to become and we accept it as, "...the way it has to be in a free and open Society.". We don't need to hire armed gards at every dog park for poo compliance. We simply make an effort to leave the park a little nicer than when we arrived and everyone benifits. Thank you Chattanooga! You can always tell the character of town by its dog parks and YOU are honorable Poo Picker Uppers. A city of trusting humans who do what's right even when you think no one's watching.
Just ok. Could use some trees for shade and an additional seating place.
