Great experience in the physical therapy dept. Loved everyone except my pt. She has a very negative personality and is very lazy. Got another girl last time and she was so much better. Love the rest of the staff and therapy always makes me feel better.
Each time I've been here it has been an easy process, from start to finish. I get my annual mammogram here and I love the staff. The technician is wonderful, eases your mind, caring and personable. My experiences have been top notch.
They need to be restaffed. I was in there on a Thursday with a kidney stone that I know I had because I passed it Friday. I was told it was just a bladder infection and they refused to look for a stone after I said that’s what I thought it was. When I was being released the nurse asked me my pain level and I said 10! She said okay have a good day. They refuses to give me anything for pain and watched me cry and scream and didn’t do anything but expect I was an addict and treated me horrible. Highly suggest any other hospital and all so highly recommending leaving a review for this hospital so people know just how bad it is there. I’ve seen them treat a lot of people awful not just me… hopefully you save someone in pain from going to a hospital that doesn’t care or listen to their patients.
Went in for chest pains the Dr and nurses wonderful they reassured me that I was not having a heart attack but did find that my heart was enlarged. They recommended I see my cardiologist right away . So I really want to thank this particular night shift for their thoroughness and bed side manner . They have been the best crew I have had experience with here .
I have been here several times and would like to say this is an excellent hospital. The phlebotomist is exceptional and every blood draw for me has been a good experience. X-ray and imaging has been the only place that I have had any amount of waiting. But if there is contrast then that is to be expected. The surgeries and procedures I have had here have been uneventful which is to say everything has went smoothly, professionally and without issue. I would like to add that Dr Ritchey had big shoes to fill with replacing Dr Shields but he seems to be filling that role very well. They have also implemented the MyChart and if anything it seems to have made things more efficient. I have experienced minimal amount of waiting and I have no complaints about the care they have given me. The staff is very processional and courteous. I would highly recommend this hospital to others.
Unfortunately, I've been to the emergency room a few too many times and the nurses are always very kind and perform their duties very well, the doctors are always very caring and gentle and reassuring. I've been inside the hospital for many needs, I've had blood work done at the first area there down the hallway on the right, the nurses there were great. I've been to radiology about five times this last year, and the staff in that department were always so kind and efficient. I had an EGD done recently, which was a small outpatient surgical procedure, Dr. Ritchey performed that and he did wonderfully. I also go to the second floor at the White House clinic and find them to be a joy to work with inside the hospital. I have seen Dr Derrick Williams several times in the past and I preferred him over other doctors. He is young, which I find to be a good thing because he's more relatable to others around his age, like me. He is quick-witted and more intellectually modern, and open-minded, I would imagine. I found him to be gentle, medically inquisitive and highly caring for his patients. He is quite knowledgeable and highly trustworthy as a doctor. The diagnosis' he gives, I trust, because I believe he knows what he's doing. I've always enjoyed being his patient every time I saw him.
Just spent 2 1/2 hours in ER. Excellent care and attention to my chest pain need. I had Kristina P. ,Stephanie F, Summer P, Laurie and Colin in Radiology and April @ER registration. So much kindness, caring and attentive. My Dr. Kiostelnik was very kind, gentle and honest with me. Again excellent quality of service from the ER department. Thank you all so much. Loraine
I will always have a bad review of Berea hospital. The staff has zero compassion and they don’t care about your pain levels or what you think is going on with your own body. I went In Wednesday night with sharp pains in my side and back. They done a urine on me and I told the Dr when he come in that I thought it was a kidney stone because I get them a lot and I know the pain of it. He come back said that I had a bladder infection and refused to look to see if there was a stone.. when the nurses come in to take my vitals before I was released she asked me my pain level and I told her 10 she said okay have a nice day. I was dying in pain but they’ve listed me as an addict I’m not I broke my back last year and was in the ER every other day crying In pain but could never tell me what was wrong. So finally we went to UK and found out my back was broke and had been broken for a period of time in 3 different spots. So now anytime I go to the ER I. An emergency involving pain they refuse to help me or show me any kind of compassion at all. They will let me sit there and cry and scream in pain and they don’t care at all. Berea hospital is the worst staffed hospital there is. Why don’t I just go somewhere else you ask. Because I’m already 25min away from Berea hospital and when you are in pain or have something sever going on you will go to the closest possible hospital you can get to. Unfortabtly Berea is my closest. I’m treated awful every time I go in though. I really wish they would have some kind of compassion training or people training on how they should treat every one with respect and compassion and I don’t care if you’ve seen someone a 100xs in a month if they are in pain they are in pain and it should be treated as an emergency no matter what since it’s an EMERGENCY ROOM! I hope that one of these days they will trade up on staff
Have been there twice. First time, fantastic. Second time was at the emergency room. The doctor on call did not want to hear or listen to what I was trying to let him know. Ended up going to UK med center the next day. All is good now.
Im a American citizen that came here with obvious trauma to my face and ribs i came straight to hospital didnt have my wallet didnt have my insurance card they treated me as heres your bandage clean you face up and get out but if i would have had my insurance card they would have taken way better care of a citizen if i was a illegal i would have gotten top notch care no fee
