I'm in shock of all the reviews My experience there was great, my son was having a super high fever and we were taken here, we got there and the lady at the front desk was very nice and once we completed the paperwork we didn't wait not even 5 mins and they took us in and quickly assessed my son's condition and quickly got my son's fever down. The doctor and nurses were all very nice and very helpful. I honestly like it here a lot and will go again if I ever have another emergency.
Do not go the this emergency room. My wife went with abdominal pains. They did a few scans gave her some pain medication and said “well your not going to die” and said we could go home. My wife was still in pain but we left. The very next day we went to Memorial Herman ER because she was still in a lot of pain. They did the same exact tests/scans and identified the problem. A month later we received bills from both ER’s. Memorial Herman’s total for all scans, pain meds, etc were less than 2k. CHI St Luke’s was over 20k. I called the ER several times but every number they gave was not good including the number on the bill. I finally got someone who said they moved billing and had a new number after sending the bill. We disputed the amount of the charges since their own website says they charge around a couple hundred dollars for the scan they charged us 9 thousand for. No one ever called back but they did send another bill. We said we would make payments while they looked into it. We made a couple payments which they took but never credited it to our balance. I called and they said they would look into it. I have been emailing the manager every week for 5 weeks with no response and today received a collection notice which did not reflect any of the payments we have made. THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE SCAM.
I wish I knew the name of the nurse who took care of us. She literally look like she was on some kind of drugs to point we walked out because of her. The doctor was sweet but even he looked to scare of her. Even to check my daughters temperature she was shaking. My daughter is 18 she literally removed her gown and bracelet and said mom let’s go there’s no way im gonna have them take care of me. It was the worse experience ever. From the front desk to the nurse. I never right a negative review but I couldn’t let this pass.
I took my father in law there. I had to go in and down the hall to find a wheelchair. The ramp out front is real steep. The door is hard to get open. The person at the desk looked shocked that I was bringing in someone for treatment. Most emergency rooms will assist you when you go in and ask. They said there was wheelchairs down the hall. They did treat him right away. We had to go back later that afternoon because he was bleeding very bad. They rushed him through the first time. We waited 11 hours to get a room. The place was dirty, the restroom that the patients use looks like a gas station restroom on Route 66 There is bugs in the hallway and outside in front of the door. It reminds me of a free clinic in the 80s Even the bushes around the parking lot where dead. A veterinarian hospital would have been a better choice. St. Lukes is respectful in the northwest but this fails across the board We will never go back.
I came in bc my helix piercing back grew skin over it. Dr. Luu and the entire staff were very informative and made sure I felt comfortable. I would recommend.
Should have read the reviews before going! or emergency room has ever told me they don't treat children to find a hospital for children! 2hour wait for that! The doctor supposedly didn't even know the amount of Motrin to give my child, this is ridiculous, where did she receive her medical license from? Dr said my daughter needed an ultrasound and they didn't have the capability for that, they only do CT scans what a joke! No ultrasound but they have a sign to show estimated wait time on the results if you were to have one!
Despite all the bad reviews I had a great experience. Front desk person was excellent, wait time was only 10 minutes. They attended to me in the back right of way. Doctor, nurse, and MA were great. I would definitely return if necessary.
Came in to help with my mother’s problem and the staff was not overly friendly, but they were certainly quick, helpful and informative about the issues. The low rating is due to the state of cleanliness in this building. We were in the room for approx 6 hours and there was paper and trash all over the room from medical packaging. There was a patient gown that I wouldn’t have let her wear because of the stains on it - probably iodine but looked like blood. Ants were all over the floor. Two dead June bugs behind the door. A huge spider ran across the room and I trapped it for them to dispose of. Too bad; staff was so nice but we will NOT be back.
NEW ADMINISTRATION, WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. King of balance discrepancies. They do not honor all payments even if you have receipts and confirmations, they will cut your option to pay online. Tried to pay the account off, discounts they quoted are no longer honored. Finally found lost payment but didn’t notify responsible party of the balance changes. Sent to collections over THEIR MISTAKES. Per the accounts manager “it is not their duty to notify the patient when they find lost payments”. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere. The practices from the accounting staff here, leave a lot to be desired.
Although the doctor was patient and nice with my father, front desk and the nurses were not. It’s understandable the stress and pressure these jobs have on staff but not to take it out on the patients. Zero knowledge of customer service..& that’s coming from someone who works in the medical field. My father went in with a blood pressure emergency and chest pains and we were told it would be between 2-3 hours for an ambulance to arrive for him....if we drove him anywhere ourselves we would lose our spot. Please save your time and go to an professional emergency care, where front desk and nurses are not arguing and screaming in front of you and where they actually care about the health of their patients. Not in a million years would I bring my father or any of my family members here ever again.
