CDOT tears up all the sidewalks in front of and around our house. It’s been over a month now, still haven’t returned to pour new cement. No one answers the phone. So now there’s just a massive hole where the sidewalks used to be an winter is right around the corner. This organization is corrupt, unprofessional and disrespectful.
I moved a short distance within the city last month and in my new neighborhood There is a parking attendant going along my street and writing multiple vehicles extremely petty tickets for things that are not occurring. For example, tickets for being “12” or more from the curb”-when cars are clearly parked straight and close to the curb as possible, not crossing into the bike lane. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! You all need to find something better to do, making Chicago look very petty and as a long time resident who has parked on the street for years it is extremely disappointing in my new neighborhood.
Straight b---h who answers the phone when citizens call. This is supposed to be a professional city service but that's not what you get at all. The electricians came out after months of calling about a light out and Disconnected the lights on my street only to never return to put them back together so now we've been without lights for over 2 months now only to get attitude when trying to find out if they were ever going to return and complete the job or just leave the polls dismantled with wires sticking out.
To the people who issue permits. YOU ARE FISHY... I Hope you take offense again to that. They will hand out permits to any company willing to pay. Just a bunch of corrupt and uneducated people who will not help anyone. The only nice person is the receptionist. She was very friendly.
We had our sidewalks replaced by a crew today. The guys worked hard and did an excellent job, and they were very sweet to my little boys who had a blast watching them work. Well done, guys!
The lights on Congress Street downtown are never in sync. Took 45 minutes to get through 2 lights when no traffic was going in the opposite direction. This happens at least 15 days every month. Their incompetence is absurd.
they dont really care about the urban areas. horrible service. literally have to call every day to get street conditions looked at and wait just to get anything fixed. im sure they dont do that up north. if its possible id give no star.
Roads will be closed for months, but don't expect them to tell you about it! Incompotent wastes of money.
My kind of town! Chicago is.
