The staff are friendly, the facility is well kept with a good selection of books for the amount of space available. The children's area is great our kids could stay all day with toys and books and art supplies. Lots of community events, and just a wonderful place to be in the real Chicago.. We love this place, there's a parking lot too, or usually street parking available.
It’s a cute cozy library but the SMELL makes me not want to come back. Honestly, I didn’t believe the past reviews about the smell due to it being a homeless spot. So I decided to finally go and see for myself. No homeless were seen but once I sat down on a computer, the smell was very evident. It had to be soaked up into the carpet. Bed bugs are not a crazy assumption to impose because many shelters have bed bug infestations that infect many of the homeless population. I was scared, so I shook my clothes and rapidly left after printing my label.
The hours are inconsistent. The staff isn't very helpful. Computers are shut down 1 hour before closing even for simple tasks i.e. printing they won't allow you
The staff members were extremely helpful and patient. I've never had a problem with any of the other patrons. Of course, I also don't feel the need to judge or practice condemnation of those who are less fortunate. Thank you for providing service to ALL our residents!
My kids love their children's section. Great space to play and read, and good selection of diverse children's books. The team there is really helpful too, and there's even a social worker there a few days a week, helping people navigate public benefits
Great library for kids! Half of the space is for children and teen books, which makes it a fun space for my kids to explore. Staff are always welcoming, helpful and happy to make suggestions for my family. It definitely carries the intimate vibe of a neighborhood staple!
This library is OK. Lacks a lot of community programs, would be nice to have more community events. However, they have a express computer which I like being that they have what seems to be regular people who stay on the computers. If you need to print something out really quick, you can access the express computer with your ID & print for 15 cents. The staff could be a little more nicer, a simple smile or hello goes along way. Also, sometimes it smells like bad sewer so wish that could be taken care off.
The children's section of this library is continuously curated with an eye for diversity, inclusivity and exposure to a range of cultures, languages and gender identities. I deeply appreciate the librarian staff at the Bezazian!!! Thank you for enriching my children's reading :-
One of the best to use free computer for free for one hour or so. Free 10 pages white and black pages. Can park on Magnolia or Ainslie. Nice staff and have a bathroom. There are 5 available compiters at any time. You can also use red line or Broadway bus and get off at Ainslie
Friendly and very helpful to look for books and work on the computer
