As a Corning High School football player, #2 shot putter in the country, and two-time Super Bowl winning defensive lineman, Jeff Stover is no stranger to the gym. However, it wasn’t until a series of injuries during his time playing for the San Francisco 49ers that he became inspired to open up a gym of his own. Throughout the rehabilitation process he noticed how the gym could be a place to recover and improve yourself while receiving support from others. As a result, Jeff founded Chico Sports Club in 1989 with the vision of providing a non-intimidating atmosphere for members of the Chico community in order to change their lives through health and fitness.
Our mission is to facilitate healthy lifestyles to everyone in our community regardless of age, experience, or physical condition. Through consistency, credibility and professionalism, Chico Sports Club will strive to deliver superior customer service and assist its members and guests in creating a happier and healthier way of life.
