Very fun for our toddler. She loves every room and had a blast running around and playing with the toys and interactive stations. Slightly more expensive than other places but it was worth it.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$16–20
They have soooo much! Can’t see it all in 2 hours- we were there for 4 hours &never made it to the top floor with the water play area. Just wow, What an amazing learning experience!!! We loved this place!!! 1st time going & we are gonna need a membership.
This was a good experience for our family. 2 adults, 7 y.o, 4 y.o parking was reasonable 6 bucks for the trip. This museum is very hands on for the kids and involved parents. The water area is not recommended if you don't have a change of clothes or it's a warm day where the kids can step outside and dry up. Near the end of the trip we stop in the cafe. The food was mostly good except for that veggie tots. They were far too sweet and none of my family liked them. The pizza & the egg white turkey was outstanding. I read the reviews since we are from out of town. The other reviewers complaining about the mask policy seem to be overreacting. It was a good time and I would recommend this place if you have little ones.
The experience at this museum was wonderful. There are so many little projects and activities for the kiddies! My son enjoyed this place thoroughly, he most enjoyed the nursery area as he’s very active and hands on. We spent a couple hours there and it went by so quickly!! Truly wonderful experience and great change of pace. Nice play to visit during the colder months!!
Great hands on fun for all ages. My daughter has enjoyed the childrens museum all the way up to this past month when I took her with a friend at the age of 13! It was still fun for them to explore! I also greatly appreciate the discounted rates for those who are low-income.
It’s amazing how much work and love was put in there. very good place for our 2 yr child. I am not sure why they are making 2 yr old wear mask. I believe it is 3 yr and up. 2 yr still very young.
Our kids, ages 10-6, always have so much fun here. We spent 5+ hrs here. The museum lab now has a rope climbing area that was a bit hit.
We are members and Andrew, at the front desk, was so nice to tell us about the Daniel Tiger Meet & Greet that took place today Wed at 12 PM. He gave us tickets too and my 4 year old son loved it. We are members at the Carnegie museums too and they are very good and different but for this age group, the Children’s Museum is where we go the most. They have so many toys and mechanism designed for kids 8 and under and our son loves it there. And customer service has been outstanding every single time. However, Andrew, today definitely went the extra mile and was so patient and helpful. Thank you Andrew for an outstanding visit!
We were a little disappointed with our experience at the Children’s Museum. We specifically planned our visit with our 13 month old to primarily focus on the 2nd floor/nursery room. We were super excited to see so many age appropriate activities for our son and he was very excited to explore. Unfortunately, the nursery room was overrun with older/school-aged children with almost no parent supervision. Our son was almost knocked over several times and had toys ripped away from him. He did have a lot of fun when some of spaces were clear, but it was overall not a very safe environment for him. I understand that the museum cannot be responsible for actions of all guests, but it would have been nice if the nursery room had a little more staff presence to ensure that it was an appropriate environment for younger visitors. We took some time to walk through some of the other exhibits and will definitely visit again when our son is a little older. Overall it seemed like a really great place with a ton of activities for children, but I would definitely say, proceed with caution for younger guests.
The little ones had a great time. They have a really neat water play area so don't forget you can pack swimsuits and water shoes so the kids can have even more fun. It's a full day of entertainment for toddlers and up.
