Kind, professional staff. We have never encountered any issues with wait times or scheduling. The facility is clean and decorated with cute Eric Carle artwork throughout.
Absolutely loved this place. My daughter needed to have a dental procedure done and this place was just amazing. All the nurses took great care of her both before and after procedure. Her appointment was a day after her birthday and they surprised her with a birthday gift amazing! THANK YOU!!
Ms. Connie is hands down one of the most skilled and professional phlebotomists we have met, and is amazing with children. She made our daughter age 3 1/2 feel comfortable with a procedure that is by its nature unpleasant for most people and especially children. I would say her "performance" begins as soon as she meets the child. She gets to know them walking back to the lab draw room and endears herself to the child and earns their trust. Even when our child was heartbroken and upset to learn that she would be getting a needle in their arm to draw blood, Ms. Connie still maintained her trust and allayed our little one's fears. Our daughter remembers Ms. Connie and the special toys she gets from Ms. Connie's treasure chest. When we left this time, she exclaimed, "Thank you Doctor Ms. Connie!!" Hopefully we don't have to do blood draws for a while but if we do, we won't go anywhere else!
I took my 2 month old to get her blood draw as a walk in out patient. Connie was the one that did her blood draw. She was great. When my baby started to cry she started to sing to her and it seemed to make my baby more comfortable because she stopped crying. She also made me feel comfortable as well. She explained how many tubes and how much blood she needed in each tube. Everyone I had contact with was very nice. I’m so happy I chose to drive the extra 25+ mins and will do it 20 more times.. I really recommend Benioff children hospital at Walnut Creek for blood draws and especially Connie. Thank you so much.
Excellent hospital! my son had surgery, and I would like to thank the doctors and nurses and all the staff that work there.
I was only 5 minutes late they didn’t take my kid in usually all hospitals give 15 minutes margin
Wow...what a wonderful experience. My daughter went to see the Doctor there today, then had to have bloodwork then an Xray. Connie who did the blood work was absolutely exceptional with my daughter - by exceptional I mean she handled a 7 year old girl and a terrified mom beautifully when she drew blood for 6 vials. Thank you thank you to a wonderful staff and a peaceful experience.
I just drove 2 hours to get to my daughter's doctor appointment. I had both a letter and a voice mail telling me to get there at 12:45. Not a single mention that I could not bring her younger sister per the virus. Had they told me not to bring her, I would have followed directions and found child care. When I arrived, I was greeted by a man who was beyond rude, telling me I couldn't bring my other child. While I understand the COVID protocol, let me be clear that no one told me in the letter or voicemail. He made us stand in the corner for 10 minutes. Then, a nurse came out, also rude which they usually are by the way who scolded me by saying "we'll let you bring her this one time." Once again, I explained that no one had instructed me otherwise. I got no apology, only looks as if I was lying. I was appalled at the lack of professionalism, and lack of compassion shown by employees at a children's hospital. I am going to file a formal complaint as well. I have both the letter and the voicemail which omit these instructions. Before I left, I told the nurse. Again, I got looks as if I were a liar. I wish I could go somewhere else and will explore other specialists for scoliosis. Two thumbs down.
I would love to give this Hospital a better rating but my experience has changed for the worse. My daughter was seen here by a Specialist. The Specialist has been sending her patients to another Partner/Doctor because she is too busy for this different symptom. Hurtful! Ok, we had to go with it. We had the longest wait time with the shortest visit with a Specialist who gave us the quickest and wrong diagnosis. I’ve spent sleepless nights thinking how horrible this could have been if I would have gone along with them but I wasn’t having it. I pushed for my daughters pediatrician to request more and he did. Turns out that this is a serious issue. They sent us to Children’s Hospital in Oakland towards the appropriate doctors. We did make it back to Walnut Creek because of the nurses that do the scheduling. The Partner/Doctor has apologized and now is helping us move forward. The team at WC did something good for us by pushing our appointments to see a surgeon without their help it would have been a two month wait to one week. Please be persistent and don’t back down. They don’t know your child better than you do. .
6/15/18 I think it's really great this hospital offers CPR and AED certification through their Walnut Creek campus. I took the course under the instruction of Ryan S. and I feel confident in the skills he taught us. Hopefully it's not something I ever have to use, but thankfully if I that situation arose, I'd know what to do. The class had videos and interaction with dummys and there were lots of questions that Ryan answered for us. Overall a great evening that went really fast and was very affordable.
